A Day in the Life

A Day in the Life was an American rock band formed in Dayton, Ohio, in 2001. Their first record was a demo entitled" Four Bullets for One Girl," which sold its 500 copy run in 2 months. This brought them to the attention of Confined Records, with which they released an album entitled "Nine Reasons to Say Goodbye." Finally, they released a 6-song EP entitled "Paper Chromotagraphy: The Fade from Dark to Light" in the winter of 2003. In 2003, lead vocalist/rhythm guitarist JT Woodruff changed the name of the band to Hawthorne Heights with a different line-up.

Her Nightmare

Forming in 2003 this five piece Melbourne band stands strongly under the banner of Australian Hardcore, yet are proud to acknowledge their obvious metal influences. Massive vocals, brutal guitars and a relentless intensity have seen them successfully travel the nation many times with bands like Parkway Drive, Comeback Kid, Most Precious Blood, 50 Lions, Jungle Fever and Terror. Archives

Archives were a Dundee based band (May 2006 - July 2008) who featured former members of The Fall of Boss Koala, A Written Apology, AVAST! and others. The band sat somewhere between screamo, post hardcore and post rock and were influenced by the likes of Daitro, Envy, Red Sparowes, From Monument to Masses. They have a 3 track demo from 2007 and a 6 track album which was recently just released in 2009. The band is no longer...but members of the band have gone on to bigger and better things...

The South

There are at least two bands that go by this name, one British and one American: 1) The South is a band consisting of former The Beautiful South members Dave Hemmingway, Alison Wheeler, Dave Stead, Damon Butcher and others; they primarily play live and are yet to make any releases. 2) The South were a hardcore band from St Augustine, FL. Members went on to be in Environmental Youth Crunch, In Danger Of Dead, Tubers, Solid Pony, Centipede, Alligator, and more. They've played 2 reunion shows since doing their farewell caravan tour July9-11th, 2004.

Evergreen Terrace

Hailing from Jacksonville, FL Evergreen Terrace has been blazing their own path through the melodic hardcore style since 1999. Anchored by guitar player/vocalist Craig Chaney’s clean singing and catchy hooks, punctuated by lead singer Andrew Carey's vicious screamed vocals, the five-piece band never depended on anyone but themselves to push their band forward. Rounding out the lineup alongside Andrew and Craig is Josh James (guitar/vocals) and Kyle Mims (drums) as permanent members.

Takida

Takida, a five piece rock band from Ånge, Sweden, started out in 1999 and they have worked hard to get where they are today. They have been touring all around Sweden and built quite a reputation as a solid live rockband. Their fanbase is growing as we speak. Their first demo Old was only produced in 500 copies and sold out immediately, Old was recorded in year 2000. It was followed up by the EP T2 (2000), the full length album Takida (2001), the ep Gohei (2003) and the ep Thorns (2004).

A Loss For Words

Now into their their sixth year as a band, A LOSS FOR WORDS is ready to break out with a second release early this Summer. Powerful, heavy and fast guitars, Punchy drums and heavy hitting vocals. They hang somewhere in between Hot Water Music and Rufio, with their infectious hooks and melodies.

June Paik

June Paik are an emotive hardcore band from Donauwörth in Germany. They've released a selftitled 7" (React With Protest), a selftitled 12" (React With Protest/Parade of Spectres), the latter of which drew their already dark and intense style more towards epic build ups and heavy droning passages much in the vein of mid-90's Canadian hardcore bands such as Union of Uranus and One-Eyed God Prophecy, a Split 12" with Titan (React with Protest), a selftitled 10" (React with Protest) and a Split 7" with Battle Of Wolf 359 (React with Protest/Adagio830).
