Tony Humphries

A Brooklyn native, Tony Humphries is one of the most important names in the evolution of House and Garage music. He landed his first professional DJ gig at Manhattan's upper-class Club El Morocco at the tail end of the Disco explosion in 1975. Disco and Dance music fell off the Mainstream radar soon after, but Humphries remained. In 1981 he got his first big break when legendary producer Shep Pettibone requested a Mix Tape from Tony to fill in for a no show on KISS FM NY. The mix he submitted proved a success an he was given his own permanant mix show at the station shortly after.

Mark King (born 20 October 1958, Cowes, Isle of Wight) is an English musician. He is most famous for being the lead singer and bassist of the band, Level 42. In the early 1980s King popularized the 1970s-era slap and pop style for playing the bass guitar by incorporating it into pop music.
