Marques Toliver

Marques Toliver was born in Tallahassee Florida on March 28, 1987, but moved to Daytona Beach at a young age. His first impressionable musical influence began as a young boy mimicking the deep southern style of singing he came in contact with. As the years progressed he would be introduced to the violin and later receive formal training that would allow him to continue acquiring musical knowledge in college.

Artist Type:

David Jordan

Born in Barnet to a mother from Montserrat and a father from Calcutta - 'a good mix,' he says - Jordan was something of an outsider in his schooldays. Never happy to simply run with the pack, instead he went off to chart his own course. Whenever the naysayers told him that he needed to get his head out of the clouds, he would simply reach out for his dreams with even greater determination. Musically, Jordan’s single-mindedness manifested itself just as early.

J. Holiday

J. Holiday doesn’t pull any punches when he offers his take on the current state of R&B. “Rhythm and Blues is lacking storytellers right now,” insists the candid 22-year-old singer/songwriter. Holiday then pauses, name checks the late legendary singer Otis Redding as if to show his soul credentials and asks, “Where’s our generations’ ‘Sitting on the Dock of the Bay?’ Lately, it seems hip-hop has been birthing all of the great storytellers. It’s time to show that R&B is way more than just dance music. That’s what I’m trying to convey with my music. I won’t settle for less.”
