Chicks on Speed are a female electroclash band, born when Alex and Melissa met at the Munich Art Academy in 1997. Chicks on Speed's core members are Melissa Logan (Upstate NY, USA) and Alex Murray-Leslie (Bowral, Australia), who collaborate with amongst others Anat Ben-David (Tel Aviv, Israel), Kathi Glas (Berlin, Germany) and A.L. Steiner (NY, USA). Around Chicks on Speed there is grouped a large and ever-changing collective of musicians, producers, fashion and graphic artists, designers, film and video makers, and so on.

Eyedress is the solo project of Idris Vicuña, lead guitarist of lo-fi, garage pop outfit, Bee Eyes. A mix of slow beats, sauntering synths, and washed out vocals, Eyedress produces songs inspired by new wave, Super Nintendo, mistrust, loss, and psychedelic drugs. After walking away from huge hype and a major label deal in 1999, disappearing completely, UK's Merz (Conrad Lambert to his mum) returned in 2005 with his 2nd album, the critically lauded, Loveheart (released by UK indie Gronland Records). His third album, Moi et Mon Camion (released by Gronland in March 2008), produced the same kind of acclaim from all corners with its mixture of beautiful balladeering, heartfelt tunes, intricate production and a display of Merz

Back in the day a classic rock band was judged on good songs, good musicianship, good showmanship and a willingness to try new ideas – in other words to not be too predictable! It was these core values that brought original band members Gareth Nugent (vocals), Mako (guitar), Lawrence Santi (bass) and Russell Gilbrook (drums) together to form Gentlemen Of Distorted Sound in 2006. With influences ranging from 70’s classic rock to the 90’s grunge explosion the band set about honing their sound and writing songs.
