The Welcome Committee

The Welcome Committee cannot really figure out how to use last. fm, but that's ok. Hopefully someone will read this, take pity on them and then give them some sort of idea about how to link the songs they have uploaded to this page. Rest assured, The Welcome Committee are not holding their breath.
They are tired and their eyes are stinging. Their songs sound to them much like something they did that they don't remember; they are distant and dislocated. They have many, many songs to record but lack the inclination to do much about it.

The Producers

The Producers could refer to more than one thing:
1) Soundtrack to the motion picture version of the Tony Award-winning musical, "The Producers" by Mel Brooks staring Matthew Broderick (as Leopold Bloom), Nathan Lane (as Max Bialystock) or the cast recording of the musical. 2) The Producers were a new wave and power pop band from Atlanta, Georgia in the 1980s. Original members included Van Temple on guitar and vocals, Kyle Henderson on bass and vocals, Wayne Famous on keyboards, and Brian Holmes on drums.

Quadrophenia

Quadrophenia was a double album released by The Who on October 19, 1973 (see 1973 in music), one of the group's two full-scale rock operas (except in a conventional use of the word "opera" as Quadrophenia is mostly a monoglot work rather than a varied drama). The name is a modification of the unscientific notion of schizophrenia as a multiple personality disorder to reflect the four destinct personalities of Jimmy, the opera's protagonist.

Artist Type:

Jason Robert Brown

Jason Robert Brown is an American musical theatre composer and lyricist. His career began with the unorthodox Songs for a New World, whose original off-Broadway production ran for 28 performances at the WPA Theater in New York City in 1995. The show sits on the boundary between musical and song cycle: it is a series of largely disjoint songs with (unlike a musical) no plot or characters that continue from song to song, but the songs and production themselves are highly theatrical and character-driven.
