Astralasia

Astralasia are a magnificent blend of ambient –dub and tribal house and a few other influences thrown in for good measure. The band, which initially grew as an offshoot of the Magic Mushroom Band, has released a number of well-received albums. Initially the band were only a part time affair with most of the members concerning themselves with the Magic Mushroom Band however their debut album caused quite a stir and the band were encouraged to continue Astralasia alongside the Mushroom Band.

O.V.N.I.

In 2000 O.V.N.I was formed when the members of the Alfa-Matrix break beat band, Seize, decided to swap roles and do something a little darker, this time with Steven taking the lead vocals and Sandrine and Rosie on bass and keyboards respectively. O.V.N.I started out with the name Spermwhale, but decided to change it when hunting for a label.

Elysium

There are 11 different bands known with this name.
1. Elysium (PL) is a melodic death/thrash metal band from Poland, Wroc³aw. The song "Snake Legion" turns up as the 7th track of off the 2008's "Death Metal Legends" Complication.
For more information, see Official Elysium website 2. Elysium (DK) is Kristian Thinning Andersen, a producer of Ethnic Tribal Goa trance from Denmark. Elysium has been around since 1994, relesing a variated amount of music on labels such as Nova Zembla, TIP, Dragonfly Records, BNE, Iboga, Chill Tribe and Avatar Records.

Goma

There are multiple artists that go by the name Goma. 1) GOMA is a Jungle Music producer and pioneering Japanese didgeridoo player. In the 1998 Arnhemland Barunga Didgeridoo Competition (judged by Galarrwuy Yunupingu), Goma received a prize, surprising audiences by being the first non-Aboriginal to be recognized. Since that time, as a solo player, session musician, and band member, he has steadily increased his audience by consistently striving to innovate and expand his musical horizons.

Shpongle

The core members of Shpongle are Simon Posford and Raja Ram, along with many collaborators and guest musicians. Ott is also credited on all albums. Simon Posford is also known for his solo productions as Hallucinogen and as driving force of the label Twisted Records UK. He is also part of Dub Trees (with Youth and Dubsahara), Celtic Cross (with Youth) and Younger Brother (with Prometheus). Raja Ram is also a member of 1200 Micrograms (with GMS) and The Infinity Project (with Graham Wood, Anjee Sian and other contributors/collaborators).

Ohm

There are at least three bands called Ohm, one from Stockholm, Sweden and another from South Africa and lastly Chris Poland's Ohm: from L.A california. Ohm: is a Chris Poland (a former member of Megadeth who has also worked with Lamb Of God) experimental jazz fusion project formed by Robertino Pagliari and himself. The band was formed in 2002 and has released 3 LPs and a live album up to date. It should be noted however, that ohm is incorrectly tagged on last.fm... the true title of Ohm: includes a colon, according to Chris Poland this is due to their constantly changing drummers.

Manic

Ryan Green - drums Paul Gross - vocals/keyboards Zane Smythe - guitars/keyboards Nate Perry - bass/backup vocals Believe it or not, Manic didn’t want to get signed to Suretone, the new label of ex-Geffen president Jordan Schur. Not because they had something against them but they didn’t want their creativity stifled by a corporation. This band, who crafts lush, layered pop rock, wanted to do things on their terms and to be the masters of their own destiny.

Zubzub

Zubzub is the funky fusion of epic psychedelia and tough beats created by ex Ozric Tentacles bass player Zia. Live line up includes synth from Joie (Eat Static), flutes from Jumping Jon (ex Ozrics), live guitar from the seasoned Alex Pym and the ultra-tight Mindflux on percussion and yet more synths! First formed some inexact time in the late nineties, Zubzub has had a number of guest musicians for live and recorded stuff.

Laughing Buddha

Laughing Buddha is UK Producer and DJ Jeremy van Kampen. A former guitarist, his inspiration for producing trance was kick started by the Goa parties of the early 90s. His first release was the 'Cannabanoid' EP on Transient records under the name Cosmosis with Bill Halsey in 1995. This partnership went on to produce a top selling album 'Cosmology' and a string of hits such as 'Morphic Resonance' and 'Gift of the Gods'. They also released the singles 'Infinite depths' and 'Karma' on T.I.P. Records as Laughing Buddha.

Omsphere

Omsphere (Jay OM / Journey / Crocodile Rangers / Star~Trip) is the progressive solo project of, Milan born but now London based, Giampiero 'Jay' Mastino, label manager of Free-Spirit Records. Jay forged his earliest psychedelic-rock influences playing guitar in local bars in Milan. His romance with the decks began in the late 80's whilst working for a local radio station where he was given the opportunity to spin his first record. This love firmly in place the move to London followed in 1998.
