Binary Band

Binary Band is formed of the sparring vocal harmonies, dobro (slide guitar) and harmonium (missionary organ) of Ali Thoburn and Billy Tudor, and complimented by the occasional electric piano and pieces of catgut, dusty wood and rusty metal. The resulting sound is an earthy, wide-screen brew of American roots, English psychedelia, film soundtracks, North African blues and Far Eastern influences that brings to mind Neil Young, The Low Anthem, Peter Gabriel, The Band, Tinariwen and Traffic.

Findlay Napier

Findlay Napier & the
Findlay Napier and the Bar Room Mountaineers. The unique Scottish act, Findlay Napier and The Bar Room Mountaineers hail from a “folk” background which makes it easy to pigeonhole most bands, but certainly not this one. The band draws on a wide range of musical influences including bluegrass, country, funk and folk, with the occasional bit of punk thrown in for good measure. If you were to think, Loudon Wainwright’s unparalleled story telling, meets the tightness of Nickel Creek, with a distinctive Scottish twist, you would be getting warm!

The Ely Plains

Not too long ago five guys were drawn together by a mutual love of the music and myths of the canyon, the cotton fields and the dustbowl, the jangle of the west coast, the buzz of the village and what some folks call Americana. With that in mind they wrote some songs mixing together the sounds and tones they love so much. Like the hum of a warmed up Fender tube amp, a Telecaster ready to twang, the click and sway of a quality compressor and tremolo pedal, the strum of a Guild dreadnought, a Hohner harp ready to roll...

Artist Type:

The Sheepdogs

This band won the contest to be the first unsigned artist to be featured on the cover of the Rolling Stone magazine. From the prairie city of Saskatoon, Canada come the Sheepdogs, 4 young gentlemen who revel in the joy of rock n roll so wholeheartedly, it's downright contagious. Sporting the long-haired looks of their musical forefathers, the lads make the most of their 2 guitars, bass and drums combo.
