There is more than one artist under this name: 1. John Murphy is a British film composer from the city of Liverpool. He began composing music for films in the early 1990s, working on several successful British movies including Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels (1998) and Snatch (2000).

Faris Badwan, frontman for UK indie rockers The Horrors, has a new project: Cat's Eyes, a duo with the Canadian opera soprano and multi-instrumentalist Rachel Zeffira. The group specializes in a glassy, symphonic take on girl-group pop, and they played their first show in December in a pretty unusual place: St. Peter's Basilica at the Vatican, during an afternoon mass "attended by seven high-ranking cardinals," according to a press release. Formed in 2001, SBA are a four-piece Alternative/Deathrock/Post-Punk band based in York, England. Their music represents an eclectic range, but is characterised by the combination of guitars and intertwining male and female vocals. With a sound varying from tongue in cheek humour and rockabilly to sombre ballads and dancefloor stompers, influences include bands such as The March Violets, The Horatii, The Cramps, The Cure, Bauhaus, Bowie and New Model Army.
NFD comprise Tony Pettitt, the Fields of the Nephilim founder-bassist, who teamed up with vocalist/guitarist Peter (Bob) White and drummer Simon Rippin when the Nephilim reunion floundered in 2002. Simon was previously in both Nefilim and Fields of the Nephilim line-ups, as well as together with Bob in Sensorium. For live gigs they bring in two extra guitarists, Chris Milden and Steve Carey. Their Nephilim roots gave them immediate attention from that band's still devoted following, but press reviews surpassed any casual goodwill.
There are two bands with the name Subvision: First, SubVision was formed in 1999 by Australian film composer Braedy Neal, who provided cutting-edge music for Farscape, The Crash Zone, and Dreamtime to Dance. Subvision was soon joined by film and TV composer Chris Neal, and radio DJ Toby Neal, to become a total composing service using state-of-the-art technology. They have produced numerous dramatic underscores for feature films, television drama, documentary, television commercials and corporate productions.
