Dave Thompson

Dave Thompson was nine when his father bought him a guitar and taught him how to play it. Sadly, his father did not live long enough to see Dave, at the age of 15, join the blues band Booba Barnes and the Playboys (later renamed the FM Stereo Band, following Barnes's departure). Life on the club circuit was, to say the least, eventful: Dave survived two car crashes and a bullet in the thigh, as well as having the odd brush with the law.

T-Model Ford

James Lewis Carter Ford (born in Forest, Mississippi, 1924) is an American blues musician better known by his stage name, T-Model Ford. Unable to remember his exact date of birth, he began his musical career in his early seventies and has continuously recorded for the Fat Possum Records label. His musical style melds traditional Chicago blues and juke joint blues styles with the rawness of Delta blues and the rebellious attitude of 1970s-style punk.

Heartless Bastards

The Heartless Bastards' story starts in Dayton, Ohio, where Wennerstrom found the name on a multiple choice video trivia game at a bar. As a songwriting teenager during a time when Guided by Voices and Brainiac were packing local bars and three of The Breeders were still in town, Wennerstrom used to sneak into clubs to check out the scene. "I would just see those people—my music heroes—hanging out at the bar like everyone else," she remembers. "I could see myself in them. It gave me inspiration to do my own thing."
