Leeds

Paul Carter

Paul Carter originates in Derby, England, UK and plays what has become known as acoustic punk. A sound that can't be described, you've just got to hear it for yourself. Paul first got into punk at the age of 14, after seeing The Adverts on TOTP performing 'Gary Gilmore's Eyes'. By 1978, Paul and a couple of mates had formed a crappy band which changed its name every day and by 1979 they'd all fallen out with each other.

Gay Bum

Formed in Leeds in February 2008, Gay Bum first came to be when Michael Pumo left the band Glasshouse Boutique. When Pumo started jamming in the basement of his house with drummer Sam Davis (under the name Gay Bum), it seemed too-lucky a coincidence that their other two housemates were guitar-player Phill Durham and "how hard can it be to play bass and make up some words" Edde Gamester. Hence the house formed a four-man rock act, intent on having as much fun as possible with their well-suited talents.

Soeza

7 piece rock band from the south of England. Two drums, French Horn and others bits. Quote 'Soeza: an experimental rock band comprising two drummers, one bass, one guitar, lots of singing and a much neglected instrument in rock music, the French horn. Their music is frenetic but danceable and angular yet soulful, combining Ben Owen's emotionally charged lyrical outpourings with Jenny Robinson's beautifully soft vocals. These two contrast and complement each other over a big, boisterous rhythm section, effervescent guitar and melodic horn.

During the next five years, she released records on labels like Tigerbeat6, Elefant, 555 and her own label, Catmobile.
