The June Brides

The June Brides were an English pop music group, formed in London in 1983, by Phil Wilson and Simon Beesley of International Rescue. Influenced by Postcard-label bands such as Josef K and -era bands such as The Desperate Bicycles and The Television Personalities, their mix of guitar pop with viola and trumpet formed a blueprint for many of the bands that would follow. The Factory Years The leicester based singer songwriter (who has seen a revival of interest in the mid 2000's and a new label, Burning Shed) was an early member of the factory Records roster. Following the death of Ian Curtis (lead singer in Joy Division), Hewick was trialed by Factory owner Tony Wilson, who placed him in the studio with the remaining members of Joy Division (Peter Hook, Bernard Sumner, Stephen Morris) and producer Martin Hannett to record the track Haystack.

Yeah Yeah Noh

Yeah Yeah Noh were a group formed in Leicester, England in 1984. They released two albums and five singles while still together, and have had two compilation albums issued since they split in 1986. The group reformed in 2011, an announcement appearing on the Cherry Red Records website: "STOP PRESS: Yeah Yeah Noh are back together and are playing live as of summer 2012, on the lookout for 'interesting gigs in fields; gardens with expansive lawns considered'."
