The Moffs

There has been more than one band called The Moffs. 1. The Moffs were an Australian band from Sydney active from about 1984 to 1989. Heavily influenced by British mod and psychedelic music of the 60s, they were very successful in their own land in the independent charts. They released three singles (Another Day In The Sun, Flowers and The Traveller) a mini LP (The Moffs) and a full length LP (Labyrinth).
They reformed for live gigs in 1994 and again in 2008 to promote the LP The Collection.

Further Notes Regarding Peel It
Peel another 40-hour-workweek off the stack gyrating in your hands. Strip it from the wad and make it drizzle on the sign twirler at the live-nude intersection - “We Buy Gold, We Sell Gold” the sign reads.

Peel the gold leaf off the holy headpiece, off the Temple Mount, off the Dome Rock. Lotto jackpots get shared.

Peel the radial Goodyear’s off pop’s Ford Exploder glazing doughnuts into every Texas lawn, sister. Peel the sod away, the drought sucks like a dry hump with two backs, brother.

Dead Gaze

R. Cole Furlow fronts Dead Gaze, a skuzzy but very poppy lo-fi band out of Mississippi. In 2010, after Dead Gaze's first cassette release, End of Days, Why Not You on Mirror Universe, the group released a split with Gray Things on Clan Destine. The same year, they also released a two-song 7” single on Fire Talk Records, which found them moving from their early Flaming Lips sound in a chillwave direction with drum machines and synthesizers. ~ Jason Lymangrover, Rovi

The Nova Saints

This Bristol band is on our radar thanks to the diligence of the Verve's Nick McCabe, which fits--they make the sort of bittersweet symphonies his group once described. This is Britrock at its most drowsy and forlorn; the reverb pedal is the sad-eyed Saints' only friend. Biography
The Nova Saints are a gang of five disenchanted yet ambitious mates from Hereford, relocated to Bristol, UK where they live, sleep and rehearse under the same roof.

The Holydrug Couple

Two forest travelers, united by the will form the Holydrug Couple. With a minimal formation they managed to create a bluesy exploration, which takes the audience to a psychedelic trance. Like the rhythm of a train, with mid-tempo songs, they provide the audience a dense and misty energy. Without caring much about the contemporary scene they stand up for their own fascination about blues heroes, indian raga and hidden arts.
