SND

Mark Fell and Mat Steel formed SND in 1998 and were quickly placed at the forefront of new digital minimalism. With a series of influential releases on their own label SND and on the now defunct Frankfurt Mille Plateaux, SND pioneered a sound that combined the linear minimalism of Ryoji Ikeda and Oval, with the rhythmic geometry of techno artists such as Thomas Brinkmann or Derrick May. SND promote an approach to the organization of sound, space and form that owes more to origami than any time based medium.

Their song lyrics often consist of Japanese, English, or just plain gibberish. The band has been noted for their extremely energetic live performances and their wild gimmicky outfits.

Con un buen manejo en los instrumentos de cuerda y percusiones, logran un jazz con algunos tintes de experimentación. Sus estructuras sobresalen, como sus arreglos. Nuevamente Guadalajara brinda talento y calidad a nuestros oídos.

New Villager

New Villager is a mythology: the Black Crow Boy, before he takes that name, wakes from a dream and is met by the Bright Man, who, he discovers, has been visiting him in the night. He learns of the "Bright Thirteen," the "Lighthouse," and "the Four Substances." These ideas excite him to follow a series of threads toward a still unknown end. Will he plant his ideas in the ground and bring life to the New Village? Ben Bromley and Ross Simonini, for their part, are exploring the mythology through songwriting, technology, video, art, and lifestyle.
