Stoner Rock

Slo Burn

Slo Burn was a short-lived stoner rock band out of Palm Desert, California that formed in 1996 in the wake of Kyuss' demise. They only released one EP entitled Amusing the Amazing before disbanding. The band comprised of Damon Garrison (bass), Chris Hale (guitar), Brady Houghton (drums) and John Garcia (vocals). Slo Burn toured with Ozzfest in 1997 but split up toward the end of the tour, effectively finishing the band at the same time the EP was released.

Yellowgroove

Music has a habit of throwing up coincidences and Yellowgroove are no exception. Formed within a melting pot of musical influences, Simon a slight disillusioned folk troubadour, who had a bag full of songs and a thousand more in his head, cut his songsmith teeth on the folkier edges of Led Zeppelin and Jethro Tull. Whilst, old friends Mark and Ben take guitar tones and stylings from the likes of Queens of the Stone Age, Cream, Pink Floyd and more. When Jack joined he brought the beats fashioned on his idols Chad Smith, John Bonham and Ginger Baker.

Clagg

Through a seven year history, Clagg have endured enormous challenges to emerge as one of Australia's leading doom and sludge bands. Building their sound upon a foundry of monstrous guitar riffs, a bludgeoning rhythm section and demonic vocals, Clagg have been persistent in spreading their evil word amid many setbacks. Following multiple line-up changes, Clagg are now at their most cohesive and crushing.

Queens of the Stone Age

Queens of the Stone Age (QOTSA or simply Queens) is a hard rock band from Palm Desert, California. The band is frequently labeled stoner rock, although they reject the label. QOTSA developed a style of riff-oriented, heavy music which the band's founder and mastermind Josh Homme described as 'robot rock', saying that he "wanted to create a heavy sound based on a solid jam, just pound it into your head". Since then, their sound has evolved to incorporate a variety of different styles and influences.
