Linval Thompson

Linval Thompson is a reggae and dub artist and producer. He started life writing his own music and was recognised to have great talent not only with songwriting but also singing. He worked at Lee "Scratch" Perry's Black Ark studios and contributed to The Upsetters classic "Kung Fu Man". Although he found greatest acclaim as a producer between the mid-70s and mid-80s, working with greats such as Scientist, King Tubby and singer Johnny Clarke. He has produced albums for artists such as Dennis Brown, The Wailing Souls, Eek-A-Mouse, Freddie McGregor, and The Viceroys.

PRAXIS

There are several artists with that name. 1) Praxis was an ever-changing musical project led by prolific producer Bill Laswell. Praxis combined elements of different musical genres such as , , and into highly improvised music. The band first appeared in 1992 with the critically acclaimed Transmutation (Mutatis Mutandis), Laswell, guitarist Buckethead, keyboardist Bernie Worrell and drummer Bryan ''Brain'' Mantia have defined the direction of the band over the last 15 years.

Dub Syndicate

Dub Syndicate is a dub band, formed by Style Scott, former drummer with the Roots Radics and Creation Rebel. Although the line-up has been very fluid, some members of the band have been semi-permanent, notably Bim Sherman (vocals), Deadly Headley (saxophone) and Dr. Pablo (melodica), (N.B. Dr. Pablo is not Augustus Pablo). Most of the band's output has appeared on On-U Sound Records, and has been produced by the label's owner Adrian Sherwood.
