Junior Murvin

Junior Murvin (born Murvin Smith Jr. in Port Antonio, circa 1949) is a Jamaican reggae artist. He is best known for the classic single "Police and Thieves", produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry in 1976. Murvin's soaring voice and the infectious rhythm made "Police and Thieves" into an international hit during the summer of 1976. The song was so influential that it was recorded by the punk rock pioneers The Clash on their debut album the following year.

Deeder Zaman

Deeder Zaman began his musical career when he was 9. He was a founding member of the band Asian Dub Foundation. In 2000, he decided to leave the band and formed Rebel Uprising. In 2008 Deeder released his debut album Minority Large on the BeatInk record label in Japan. Currently he is working with legendary soundman Adrian Sherwood (from the On-U-Sound stables) on finishing his second (working title Pride of the Underdog) due for release early 2010 on On-U-Sound Records. Deeder's unique voice and dub rhythms make him a great artist of our time.

23 Skidoo

23 Skidoo cross , , , , and elements. The band had interests in martial arts, and drumming, Fela Kuti, The Last Poets, William S. Burroughs, as well as the emerging confluence of industrial music, and funk. 23 Skidoo was formed in North London, UK in 1979 as a post-punk trio. By 1980 they had grown into a quartet consisting of Fritz Catlin, Johnny Turnbull, Sam Mills and Patrick Griffiths.

Formed in 2001, the group Digitaldubs was the first reggae sound system in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. For the last years they have played club dates throughout Brazil, including a regular party in Rio, exposing dancehall and soundsystem culture to a new, eager audience. The original and current members of the group are MPC (selector, producer), Nelson Meirelles (selector, musician, producer), and Cristiano Dubmaster (selector, toaster, and percussionist).

There is more than one artist with the name Firebug: 1) Firebug, a fine ska/dub band from Sao Paulo, Brazil. 2) Forged in the storied Wicker Park section of Chicago by vocalist Juliette Tworsey and guitarist Jules Shapiro, Fire Bug began cutting their musical teeth in and around local Chicago venues before making their way out to Los Angeles. Radikal Guru

Mateusz Miller aka Radikal Guru is a producer and dj born in northern Poland. Based in Cork IE Guru has been setting up dancefloors around Europe with some of the heaviest dubstep beats coming out of the country. Heavily influenced by dub originators such as King Tubby, Scientist and Lee Scratch Perry, Radikal Guru produces sounds of roots reggae combined with dubstep.
Started in 2004 from making trip-hop, electronica and jungle beats he developed his sound by experimenting with ethnic sounds of Middle east and India.

Smerins Anti-social Club

Bristol Funk-ska-dub band Renowned for their high-energy live performances at countless venues and festivals all over the UK, Smerins Anti-Social Club provide an intoxicating musical brew which combines a hefty dose of punk-funk, dub and groove-based wig outs, a keen ear for the absurd and a huge brass section. Having formed in Southampton in 2001, the band are now based in Bristol.
