When a song called ‘Fall on Me‘, was played on the Johnnie Walker show last year on BBC Radio 2, he was inundated with e-mails wanting to know who this new singer songwriter was, where they could find out about her, and most importantly would he ‘please play more‘. He had so many requests that he decided to mention her website the next day, and informed the listeners that it was taken from ‘Montpelier‘ a debut album by a singer songwriter called Jane Taylor who was from Bristol and who interestingly enough had produced everything under her own little label, Bicycle Records.

Daniel Smith

There are at least two artists by this name: 1. Daniel Smith is a post-modern musician under the IAM independent label. His music is a mix of the Semantic Web and User Interfaces in the domain of combining heterogeneous data sources. As one of the original lead composers of the mSpace framework, Daniel has experience in creating new Semantic Web Interfaces. Daniel has also created the mSpace API to combine the metadata from multiple research dissemination systems, using the EPrints Institutional Archive software and mSpace.

After their 2006 hit album "George Mackerwillis", the inevitable happened and the band broke up.
This was followed by the unexpected death of Mike (My Balls/Your Face Records) in a horrible accident involving a claw and a stray choc.

Alarm Will Sound

Alarm Will Sound is a U.S. twenty-member contemporary-music chamber orchestra. Members of the ensemble began playing together while studying at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and have diverse experience in composition, improvisation, jazz, popular styles, early music, and various traditional musics from around the world. Alarm Will Sound's repertoire ranges from European to American works, from the arch-modernist to the pop-influenced.

Portraits

Portraits is the name of the self-titled album released by Edmonton musicians Arsh Khaira and Eric Cheng. The album was written and recorded in 2005 but wasn't released until the summer of 2007 with Champion City Records. Portraits played a number of shows in 2007 with an extended lineup including Red Hot Daggers' Eric Ng and Taylor Schaerer, Hills Like White Elephants' Chris Blackmore and Jim Cuming and Fontaine Schaerer. A second Portraits album is currently in production as of January 2008.

Bridie Jackson and the Arbour

Bridie Jackson & The Arbour are from Newcastle Upon Tyne, UK . They launched their début album, Bitter Lullabies, with a sold-out show at The Sage Gateshead in January 2012.
