FILMS came together whilst they were all studying their 2nd year at Leeds university in 2008, when Joe showed Gwil, Gus and Thom some songs he'd written over the past few years. A small set was quickly developed using these and newly-written songs, and the band began to build a modest reputation through some crammed gigs in their front room. To date FILMS have headlined such venues as The Faversham, HiFi and The Brudenell Social Club in Leeds, as well as playing gigs in Manchester and London. They have recently been working on their

Amphibic

Amphibic are a London based outfit that was formed in 2000. They signed to Haldern Pop Records in 2004 and have released two albums with them so far. The band consists of songwriter Neal Hoffmann (vocals, guitars, keys), Ollie Barnes (guitars, piano), Joakim Persson (bass, organ), Sebastian Sternberg (drums) and Celine Barry (cello).
Their sound has moved from folk tinged acoustic indie-rock on their debut FILM IN MY HEAD to a more straightforward indie-pop approach on their follow up EP, THERE WERE MILLIONS OF THEM.

Lori Watson

Lori Watson is a singer and fiddle player who plays Celtic and Borders influenced music. Her band includes her brother Innes on guitar and Fiona Young on accordion. Barry Reid also accompanies Lori with his guitar on the CD ':Three'. Iamthemorning

iamthemorning is a neo-classical vocal indie band from Russia. Full band consists of piano, vocals, guitar, bass-guitar, drums and string quartet and sounds like prog-rock with arrangements, influenced by Russian Classical Music heritage and various ethnic motifs. The sound may vary, as the band can play both acoustic sets (grand piano, vocals, string quartet) - and then it turns to fragile neo-classical (thought, rather gloomy) collective, and prog-rockish sets when fragility of neo-classical concept is being empowered by sophisticated rhythm section and jazzy guitar.

Alarm Will Sound

Alarm Will Sound is a U.S. twenty-member contemporary-music chamber orchestra. Members of the ensemble began playing together while studying at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, and have diverse experience in composition, improvisation, jazz, popular styles, early music, and various traditional musics from around the world. Alarm Will Sound's repertoire ranges from European to American works, from the arch-modernist to the pop-influenced.

Cat Martino

Cat Martino is a Brooklyn-based singer/songwriter. Her music ranges from pop/rock to jazzy and acoustic influences, along with classical influences. Her discography include the EP Dance of Destruction (2002) and the full-feature debut album Here Now (2004). On her MySpace account, however, it's often possible to listen to unreleased tracks or live performances.

Natalie Clein

Natalie Clein's exceptional musicality has earned her a number of prestigious prizes including the Classical Brit Award for Young British Performer of 2005 and the Ingrid zu Solms Cultur Preis at the 2003 Kronberg Academie. She won the BBC Young Musician of the Year (aged 16) in 1994 and in the same year was the first ever British winner of the Eurovision Competition for Young Musicians in Warsaw. She was awarded the Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother Scholarship by the Royal College of Music before completing her studies with Heinrich Schiff in Vienna.

Matthew Barley

Londoner Matthew Barley is known internationally as cellist, improviser, arranger, music animateur and Director of Between The Notes and the Matthew Barley Ensemble. In recent seasons he has performed at some of the world's great concert halls: London's Wigmore Hall, Royal Festival Hall, Royal Albert Hall, Kumho Hall in Korea, Pablo Casals Hall in Tokyo, The Rudolfinium In Prague, and the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires.
