The Hotknives

Ska legends The Hotknives were originally formed in 1982 in England by a group of friends interested in ska, dub, reggae and Northern Soul. They recorded two live albums, "Live at the boatman" and "Live and Skanking" before recording their first studio album, "The Way Things Are" in 1989. Having reached the top of the 3rd Wave ska scene and been banned from Radio in the UK, the band decided to call it a day in 1993.

Bonnie Raitt

Bonnie Raitt, (born November 8, 1949) is an American blues and R&B singer, songwriter, and guitarist who was born in Burbank, California, the daughter of Broadway musical star John Raitt. Raitt began playing guitar at an early age, something not a lot of her high school girlfriends did. "I had played a little at school and at camp," she later recalled in a July 2002 interview. "My parents would drag me out to perform for my family, like all parents do, but it was a hobby—nothing more...I think people must wonder how a white girl like me became a blues guitarist.

Mel Williams

Mel Williams a local and International entertainer has performed all over the world. From a tour in the most popular destinations in Spain, The Canary Islands to Shows in Nashville, Philly, and of course locally including all of the Elegant and happening spots in So. Fla. His career started at a bingo hall where his dad worked . Young Mel sang impromptu for the attendants there that night and walked away with a pocket full of nickels, dimes, and quarters. Since then , however the rewards have grown considerably, But, the same spirit endures within.

The Monitors

This is for two groups: 1) The classic Motown group which began as "The Majestics" in 1964 and became The Monitors circa 1965. Group members included Richard Street (lead/background vocals), Warren Harris (background vocals), John "Maurice" Fagin (background vocals, and Sandra Fagin (lead/background vocals). The group was active until 1969-70 when Richard Street left to begin his gradual replacement of Paul Williams in The Temptations, a position he would hold for many years to come. 2) The band based in Orebro, Sweden. They debuted nov 17th at a local event.

Major Lance

Major Lance (Born 4 April 1941, Winterville, Mississippi - Death 3 September 1994, Decatur, Georgia) was an American R&B singer. As a child he relocated to Chicago, attending the same school as Curtis Mayfield and Jerry Butler. He formed a group, the Floats, and became a featured dancer on local TV. His 1959 Mercury release, I Got A Girl, was written and produced by Mayfield, but his career did not take off until he signed with OKeh Records in 1962.

The Embers

There are two bands called The Embers: an American beach music band and a country rock band from Sussex in England. 1. The Embers are a popular beach music band that were popular during the 70's and 80's. They sang the famous "I Love Beach Music". The Embers have been Playing beach music around the Carolinas since 1958. The Band was formed by drummer and band leader Bobby Tomlinson. There first nation wide song was " Far Away Places" in 1969 on the MGM label.
