Joscho Stephan

Joscho Stephan is a German gypsy jazz guitarist. Hailed as a prodigy he is currenty one of, if not the best, guitarist of his style at the moment. Heavily influenced by the likes of Django Reinhardt and Chet Atkins, Stephan's music is a mixture of slow melodic jazz and fast, jolly gypsy music. Throughout his music Stephan's incredible skill and technique can be heard from his vibrato to his incredible runs up and down the guitar neck.

The Lost Fingers

This acoustic trio based in Quebec city plays standards of the gipsy jazz repertoire (à la Django Reinhardt) as well as their arrangements of hits of the 80'. Their young history as a band has already seen them opening for the french guitarist Patrick Saussois and playing in two international music festivals, as well as playing live on several radio stations. They will performe at Montreal Jazz Festival this summer.

Palinka

Lively and moving french songs, music from the Balkans and gypsy jazz... As soon as you hear them playing the first notes, Palinka takes you on a trip... Since it was created in 2003, the quartet gave more than 400 shows in pubs, concert halls and festivals in Paris and all over France. In August 2004, Palinka went on a tour in the Balkans where they discovered...."Palinka", a local plumb liquor, which gave the band more than its name: their liveliness, and enthusiasm for musical encounters...

Robin Nolan Trio

Based in Amsterdam (The Netherlands), the Robin Nolan Trio (RNT) is an all-acoustic gypsy jazz band inspired by the legendary guitarist Django Reinhardt. Personally endorsed by Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones, Willie Nelson, and the late George Harrison of The Beatles (who regularly hired them to perform at private parties on the grounds of his English country estate), RNT began as street musicians in 1991 busking the busy tourist districts of Amsterdam. They have since performed at some of the world's most prestigious musical events including the Montreal, North Sea, Barcelona and St.

Lollo Meier

Among the gypsy jazz musicians that play guitar in the style of Django Reinhardt, there are a few that really stand out. Lollo a Dutch gypsy was raised on gypsy Jazz and started playing at the age of 12 with members of his family. Lollo made his goal in life to carry on the music of Django Reinhardt. His technique and suppleness are amazing, his music refreshing, not the standard tunes that are often heard in this genre.

Romane

Romane, whose real name Patrick Leguidecoq, is a jazz guitarist born in Paris in 1959. He plays in a style reminiscent of Django Reinhardt. However, this has not prevented him from composing rich & personal songs. His discography is also illustrated by a desire not to stay stuck in a style or theme, but to try to move forward, whether by choice of musicians, or instruments. He also varies band formations, the duo to sextet: examples of the group Django Vision and the Roman Acoustic Quartet.
