McQueen are an all female rock group from the English town of Brighton, signed to the independant Newcastle based record label Demolition Reecords. Bertie Blackman’s first encounter with her artistic self came as a child sashaying across her mother and father’s paint strewn studio floor. The daughter of iconic Australian artist Charles Blackman, not many musicians can boast a foundation of emotional expression like Bertie.

Bertie first stepped onto the scene with ‘Headway’ (2004), her folk-inspired debut album. The single ‘Favourite Jeans’ became Bertie’s radio breakthrough and saw her dubbed “Australia’s underground queen”.

The Blow is Khaela Maricich, from Portland, Oregon. The band was a duo until Jona Bechtolt left to pursue his own project, Yacht, full time. The two had been working together as The Blow since 2004, when they recorded a limited edition EP called Poor Aim: Love Songs.
"Blow" is also the name of a Melbourne-based jazz group which Last.fm automatically scrobbles as "The Blow".
