DRIVE, SHE SAID

Drive, She Said is the partnership of Mark Mangold and Al Fritsch. Originally signed to
Columbia Records, the group recorded it's first record which spawned the singles "If This Is Love" and "Love Has No Pride" (written with Aldo Nova). The Duo, with their band, toured extensively in europe and went on to record two more CD's for the European Label Music For Nations. Another European Label, Frontiers released the "Best Of" CD "Road To Paradise" and "Real Life" album.

Vocalist Alec MacKaye -- brother of Fugazi's Ian, and formerly of the Untouchables and The Faith -- reteamed with ex-Faith bandmate Chris Bald, now on guitar instead of bass, in the summer of 1986.

Life is full of surprises and unexpected decisions, which is two of the things that brought four young musicians together in Kopparberg during 2005. Through a few years these four musicians made different decisions and had different opinions and “degreed” ended up with six members, some of them who were there from the beginning and some of them new. With the same musical taste they started writing music together, which ended up in a beautiful mixture of six people’s minds and hearts in the form of music.

Helix

There is more than one artist with this name: 1) Helix is a heavy metal band that formed in 1974 for a Battle of the Bands contest in Kitchener, Ontario, Canada and is best known for their 1984 single "Rock You". The original lineup consisted of singer Brian Vollmer, guitarists Brent Doerner and Paul Hackman, bassist Keith Zurbrigg and drummer Brian Doerner. In 1992, Hackman died when the group's van rolled down a 40-foot enbankment after a concert in Vancouver.

Mitch Malloy

Mitch Malloy is an award winning songwriter. His song "Love Made A Liar Out Of Me" won the International Songwriting Competition finishing first out of 85,000 songs.
Mitch Malloy grew up in the small town of Dickinson, North Dakota, the youngest of six children. Mitch's gift was discovered at the age of six, when a first grade teacher noticed that his voice stood apart from the rest of the class. He was assigned the lead solo in every school music concert thereafter. He sang in school and in church from then on.

Starship

Starship is an American rock band that operated from 1985 to 1989, reforming in 1992. In 1984, Paul Kantner left Jefferson Starship (San Francisco, California, USA). His former bandmates wanted to continue as Jefferson Starship, but Kantner, as the last founding member of Jefferson Airplane, took legal action over the "Jefferson" name. Kantner settled out of court and signed an agreement that neither party would use the names "Jefferson" or "Airplane" unless all members of Jefferson Airplane, Inc.
