Friends Electric

Friends Electric’s infectious electronic-pop persuaded Frankmusik to snap them up for support, rising through the ranks with remixes for Kelis and Ellie Goulding. They recently headlined the BBC Introducing Stage at Radio 1’s Big Weekend, had their singles playlisted on XFM, and recorded live sessions for BBC Radio 1 & 2.

Following
Radio 1-supported singles Golden Blood and Something You Should Know comes Fireworks. A clattering, chattering electro-pop beauty that not only confirms Friends Electric's promise but also signals their deadly serious intent. Fireworks is already sounding like a future classic of the genre, underpinning the dancefloor-filling euphoria of its chorus with a brooding and inescapable melancholia, and positioning the band as natural heirs to Pet Shop Boys and The Postal Service

The Black Sea

The Black Sea was formed from the ashes of Frodus in 2002 when Frodus's Shelby Cinca and Jason Hamacher decided to continue playing together. At the time they recruited Fugazi bassist Joe Lally to play bass. At the time they weren't sure on if the musical endeavor would go beyond just playing music. In February 2002, Hamacher left for a 3 month excursion to Eastern Europe and Turkey after recording drum tracks for the pair.
