Bess Rogers

Brooklyn-based indie artist Bess Rogers has had a lifetime fascination with evolution. But it wasn't until 4 years of nonstop touring and three independent releases that the science of life began to creep its way into her songs. Her new record, aptly titled Out Of The Ocean, is a bold step forward for Rogers, and one that she has been eager to take. Raised in a musical family (her mother played harpsichords that her father built), Rogers has been living and breathing music since she was 6 years old.

Twine

There at least two different representatives of the name Twine. 1) Baltimore, Maryland's Greg Malcolm and San Diego, California's Chad Mossholder comprise a unique musical entity. Twine is the culmination of their extended history, which includes their acclaimed 2002 LP Recorder for France's Bip-Hop and their distinguished catalogue for Chicago's Hefty Records and Sweden's Komplott. Their sound contains a mysterious and unresolved quality, the result of the musical relationship which the group's two main practitioners share.

The Honda Express

Ah well, when Strawberry Story split up, the delightful writing style of Rex and James, coupled with Paul's bass accompaniment was just dying to carry on. There were still songs to be written and people to play for, so a sprightly young Ed was recruited to be the drummer and the drum machine was flogged on eBay. The resultant fusion is "The Honda Express" named after Strawberry Story song Summer Scene. Hope you like it.
