Anne Sofie von Otter

Anne Sofie von Otter (born 9 May 1955) is an opera singer and concert recitalist. She is particularly known for her trouser roles. Biography
Von Otter was born in Stockholm, Sweden. Her father was the diplomat Göran von Otter and she grew up in Bonn, London and Stockholm. After studying in Stockholm and Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, she was engaged by the Basel Opera, where she made her operatic début in 1983 as Alcina in Haydn's Orlando paladino. She made her Royal Opera House, Covent Garden début in 1985 and her Metropolitan Opera début in 1988 as Cherubino.

Anna Netrebko

The Russian soprano Anna Netrebko (born 18 September 1971) is a well-known opera singer. She is much admired for her sumptuous voice, her fine technique, and her great personal beauty. Netrebko was born in Krasnodar. She began her career washing floors at St Petersburg's Mariinsky Theatre (home of the then Kirov Opera). There, she attracted the attention of conductor Valery Gergiev who became her vocal mentor.

Andreas Scholl

Andreas Scholl (born November 10, 1967) is a countertenor, a male classical singer in the alto range. He specialises in Baroque music. His range is akin to that of the celebrated 18th century alto castrato, Senesino, for whom Georg Friedrich Händel wrote his greatest alto roles. Fanfare magazine says: "There are more excellent countertenors before the public today than ever before, but one stands out above all others, as Caruso among tenors a century ago: Andreas Scholl". In 2005, Scholl was the first countertenor ever to be invited to sing solo at The Last Night of the Proms in London.

There are at least two artists/groups called "dalla" This is the Cornish Dalla 1. The opera singer Lucio Dalla. 2. The Cornish folk music ensemble, Dalla, consisting of Neil Davey on bouzouki, mandolin, and fiddle; Hilary Coleman on clarinets and vocals; Bec Applebee on vocals and percussion and Steve Hunt on guitar and vocals. Christine Schäfer

Christine Schäfer (born May 3, 1965) is a German soprano. Born in Frankfurt in 1965, she studied from 1984 until 1991 at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin, where her teachers were Ingrid Figur and Aribert Reimann. She also followed masterclasses with Arleen Augér and Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau. After finishing her studies in 1992, Schäfer began singing at the opera house in Innsbruck. The next year she made her debut in the United States, singing Sophie in Der Rosenkavalier in San Francisco.
