Prefuse 73

Prefuse 73 (Guillermo Scott Herren), is a hip-hop and electronic producer/artist, currently based out of Barcelona and signed to Warp Records. Herren releases music under various aliases, most notably Prefuse 73, Delarosa and Asora and Piano Overlord and Ahmad Szabo. He also performs with Eva Puyuelo Muns as the group Savath and Savalas. He began his career DJing at MJQ, a small night club in Atlanta, and then began working in commercial studios but soon branched out into his own music.

DJ Shadow

Known as the godfather of instrumental hip-hop, DJ Shadow (real name Josh Davis) has proven himself with groundbreaking, genre-defining solo output on such respected labels as Solesides and Mo' Wax. Although Shadow's earlier works, especially Endtroducing, are known for their innovation in genres such as hip-hop, ambient, and trip-hop, his latest album, The Outsider, had several tracks dedicated to Hyphy. This decision has been controversial, leaving many fans feeling alienated.

Rumpistol

Born in 1978, Jens Berents Christiansen is the man behind Rumpistol. He likes to work in the crossfield between melody based pop music and experimental sounds, but always maintains his characteristic warm sound. With great influences from dub he delivers an interesting take on electronica, click-hop and downbeat. Rumpistol's self-titled debut album was released in 2003 on Rump Recordings, and he has played many concerts in Denmark and abroad since then.

Cwtch (pronounced 'kutch') is a musical collaboration between Marie Craven (Pixieguts) and Paul Foster (Dementio13). Cardiff-based Dementio13 and Australia-based Pixieguts became online collaborators in 2008. The music is a mixture of melodic , -tinged and with impressionistic lyrics and themes. Lyrics are from the writings of Pixieguts, TRavvy, Titee, Nita Disaster, Adrian Carter, Reconsiderate, Lynne DeSilva-Johnson, Dementio13, Gunda G.

Tricky

Adrian Thaws (born January 27, 1968), better known as Tricky, is an English rapper and musician who is important in the trip-hop scene (despite loathing the tag) and remains influential on the british scene more generally. He is noted for an asthmatic whispering lyrical style that is half-rapped, half-sung. As a producer and a musician he is known for having an aversion to perfection preferring to build up a dark, rich and layered sound. Culturally, Tricky bridges white and black Britain particularly in his fusion of rock and hip-hop, high art and pop culture.

Dabrye

Dabrye (pronounced “DAB-ree”) is just one alias of Ghostly artist Tadd Mullinix, who explores with head-nodding beats and saw-tooth bass lines, with a keen eye to forward-thinking production and rhythms. Dabrye has earned considerable praise from both the underground (Jay Dee, Jurassic 5) and the electronic music press, earning him a Next 100 mention from URB in 2002 and praise from publications as diverse as Rolling Stone to The Wire.
