Savoir Adore

If you're not familiar with the back-story of Savoir Adore, what began as a 48-hour challenge between two best friends blossomed into one of Brooklyn's most exciting and unique young bands. With an experimental approach to their writing and recording, Paul Hammer and Deidre Muro weave a magical musical tapestry with their distinct voices, lush harmonies, and wild sonic palette. Somewhere between dream pop and adventure wave, their songs transport you to a world that is both foreign and warmly familiar.

A.J. Roach

In August of 2003, AJ Roach released his debut full-length album, 'Dogwood Winter' on his own New Folkstar Records label. The response to 'Dogwood Winter' over the next three years – from hardened critics and music lovers alike – would be overwhelming. The record would prompt eminent songwriter, Tom T. Hall to declare AJ “a true poet”, and to cite one of the songs on ‘Dogwood Winter’ (Hard Bein’ Right) as his “new theme song”.

Kacey Johansing

Kacey Johansing's debut album, Many Seasons, plays like a travelogue. Sweeping the listener along from her roots in small town Colorado to Boston to a San Francisco, where Johansing is at something of an epicenter for a rapidly evolving songwriting scene, the album crystallizes a rich Bay Area indie-folk sound bursting at the seams with creativity. Although Many Seasons is a solo album, the guitarist and singer's penchant for collaboration shines through. A member of the bands Honey.Moon.Tree and Honeycomb, Johansing also counts Matt Adams' band The Blank Tapes as frequent collaborators.

Nacho Vegas

Self-described as a rock-singer-songwriter, Nacho Vegas blends the polyhedric language of rock and the most stark lyricism into an intense whole. His lyrics are painful and celebratory, pathetic and grand, brutally lucid and of an intimate beauty; a desperate philosophy of survival shines with a wicked sense of humour and a longing for the divine. Nacho Vegas has been a prominent figure in the Spanish 'indie' scene since his work with Eliminator Jr, Manta Ray; bands influenced by Sonic Youth, My Bloody Valentine, and other similar avant-rock acts of the early 90's.

Tiny Vipers

The Law of Unintended Consequences states that, while human actions often give way to their intended results, all human actions have at least one unintended result as well. For example: tell your lover you don’t love him and he will eventually leave your bed. But, driven from your bed, this same person might be pushed so far off track that he packs a bag and heads for a secluded mountain retreat where he replaces a life of beer and pretzels for one of prayer beads and incense. Our actions reverberate in unexpected ways.
