Lissie

"Lissie Maurus has the voice, the songs and the image to be huge in 2010. Her first release, Why You Runnin', pitches her midway between the ethereal spookiness of Jesca Hoop or Neko Case and the commercially copper-bottomed country-rock lilt of Sheryl Crow and solo Stevie Nicks. The EP captures what makes Maurus so compelling: a clear-as-a-bell singing voice, a knack for melody that sounds effortless, a direct line to a song’s emotional core, and a talent way too big for just one canyon." - Sunday Times Culture

Mike Zito

Growing up in St. Louis, Missouri, Zito was immersed in the gritty sounds of the south side that would unknowingly become the groundwork of his future in music. Like the legends before him, music has coursed through his veins from the early age of five, when he began singing and performing. It didn't take long for him to discover his instrument of choice, electric guitar, after receiving a Van Halen record for his birthday. His education and journey were just starting - little did he know he would find himself among such legends at a local guitar shop just out of high school.

Houndmouth

Houndmouth is a collaborative folk/rock band from the lowland plains and farmlands of Indiana and Kentucky. Their poetry emphasizes foolhardiness, and their soulful harmonies carry far. Once a folk duo, Katie Toupin and Matt Myers (of the Saint James Hotel) joined up with Shane Cody (Riffraff Revival) and Zak Appleby to create a colossal electric sound with bouncy half-time beats, punchy guitar riffs, and a bit of facial hair.

Barnaby Bright

Barnaby Bright are Nathan and Rebecca Bliss from Brooklyn, New York. When Nathan and Rebecca Bliss began work on their first full-length album, Wake the Hero, they hoped it would be the kind of record that would reach its listeners in a direct and honest way...that it would speak to the heart, not the head. The music of Barnaby Bright is meant for pondering, meant for stillness...meant for listening.
