Forbidden

Forbidden was part of the second wave of thrash metal bands which arose from the bay area thrash scene (along with Testament, Death Angel, Vio-Lence, etc.), and though full of promise early on, they never broke through like many predicted. Originally formed in 1985 as Forbidden Evil by vocalist Russ Anderson, guitarists Robb Flynn and Craig Locifero, bassist Matt Camacho, and drummer Paul Bostaph, the group slugged it out around the Bay Area club scene like hundreds of other up-and-coming garage bands inspired by thrash originators like Metallica, Slayer, and especially Exodus.

Outbreak

In the Maine Fall of 2001, three friends living in dead end towns, decided it was time to start a band influenced by the fast, aggressive hardcore/punk that they grew up listening to. With no prior band experience, vocalist Ryan, guitarist Chuck and drummer Ira started practicing in Ira's garage and later on in an abandoned house nicknamed "The Office." The three song demo was written over the Fall at The Office, and by the time Winter rolled around, they booked their first ever recording session in Amherst Massachusetts.
