The Sun Blindness

The Sun Blindness are a psychedelic band - based in Melbourne, Australia. Formed in 2004, they play druggy, dreamy, harmony-driven psychedelia. Indebted in spirit to bands such as the 13th Floor Elevators and The Doors, their sound channels & celebrates 45 years of psychedelic music history. 2008 saw the release of their debut album 'Like Pearly Clouds' in Australia by indie label Sensory Projects.

Singapore Sling

Singapore Sling is a band from Reykjavík, Iceland. As of 2009 they have released four albums and a best of compilation. Singapore Sling have supported The Brian Jonestown Massacre on their North American tours and covered Dirty Water a 1966 garage rock hit by The Standells in their debut album. They have also covered The Monks' I Hate You in the 2006 compilation Silver Monk Time: A Tribute to the Monks.

4 piece from Norwich, UK. Leading lights of the expanding "nu-gaze" scene. The band first came to prominence supporting the likes of Ulrich Schnauss, The Early Years, Editors, The Telescopes, Explosions In The Sky and Mark Gardener of Ride. The band's debut album was released to huge critical acclaim and featured in Drowned In Sound's Top 50 of 2005. They have recently recorded their 2nd album, due for release May 2008, with Primal Scream/House of Love producer Pat Collier.

Spokes make their quiet/loud, canada/iceland inspired rock music in the countryside of the North East... mainly as a way of keeping warm. Despite their belief in songs they don't actually sing very much. On the occasion that they do, it's because they feel they have something worth saying.

The Sleep Wells

Finding their finished form in November 2005 over a phone call between two nightclubs, The Sleep Wells are a four piece alternative/indie band from Cambridge UK. They recorded a lo-fi EP, on a four-track recorder, in January 2006 and made their live debut eight months later.
Since then, they've played a handful of gigs in Cambridge and London. Their second EP, known as panda, was recorded March 2007 and is available as a free-download. They've been compared to the likes of Broken Social Scene, Daydream Nation-era Sonic Youth and PJ Harvey.

Her Name is Calla

Leeds / Leicester / York, United Kingdom based six piece Her Name Is Calla (formed in 2004) and signed to the ace indie label Gizeh Records in 2007. The bands official debut single 'A Moment of Clarity' was released in October 2007 and a debut mini album "The Heritage" followed in June 2008. Prior to this the band issued the 16 minute epic 'Condor and River' on Gizeh Records' sister CDR label Loom in May 2007, limited to just 250 copies, which quickly sold out. The song has since been re-released on 12" vinyl through Field Records.

Witch Hunt

There are two bands with the name Witch Hunt: 1) Witch Hunt is a Philadelphia, PA DIY band who formed in 2001. For their first two releases they were on Profane Existence. Witch Hunt currently have three full albums: ...As Priorities Decay (2004), Blood Red States (2006), and Burning Bridges To Nowhere (2009 - Alternative Tentacles) as well as a compilation of unreleased early recordings entitled This is Only the Beginning... (2007). The line-up is Janine Enriquez,Rob Fitzpatrick,Nicole Enriquez,Vince Klopfenstein.

Slint

Slint was a math rock band consisting of Brian McMahan (guitar and vocals), David Pajo (guitar), Britt Walford (drums), Todd Brashear (bass on Spiderland) and Ethan Buckler (bass on Tweez). They formed in Louisville, Kentucky, United States in 1986. Though they disbanded circa 1991, they are considered to be a major influence on the , , and scenes. Slint's first album Tweez was recorded by legendary engineer Steve Albini in 1987 and released in obscurity on the Jennifer Hartman Records label in 1989.
