The Blow is Khaela Maricich, from Portland, Oregon. The band was a duo until Jona Bechtolt left to pursue his own project, Yacht, full time. The two had been working together as The Blow since 2004, when they recorded a limited edition EP called Poor Aim: Love Songs.
"Blow" is also the name of a Melbourne-based jazz group which Last.fm automatically scrobbles as "The Blow".

The Detroit Grand Pubahs are Dr. Toefinger (Andy Toth) and Paris the Black Fu (Mack Goudy, Jr.). Both are from detroit, Michigan, United States. They combine electro, hip hop, and booty-bass with a good dose of humour to create a unique sound. Both of the Pubahs started in music at an early age, with Andy starting to play drums in various local bands at 16. Vocalist Mack began Djing at a similar age having been influenced by Jeff Mills’ legendary radio mix shows.
The Launderettes are an all-female group from Norway who play what they describe as "raw 60's garage punk". The group is led by the self-proclaimed "scream queen" Ingvild Nordang, alongside Linda Kastbakken (Guitar & Backing Vocals), Siri Eriksen (Bass & Backing Vocals), Ragna Nordenborg (Keyboards & Backing Vocals), and Cecile Asker (Drums & Percussions). Tyondai Braxton is an American composer and performer and ex-guitarist / singer of American experimental-rock super-group Battles, and as a prominently featured artist on record label Warp Records. He has been actively producing and performing music under his name as a solo artist, as well as collaboratively under various group titles and collectives, since 1998. Raised in Connecticut, Braxton is the son of multi-instrumentalist and avant-garde composer Anthony Braxton. He later studied composition at Hartt School of Music in Hartford, Connecticut with Robert Carl and Ingram Marshall.

Hailing from Endicott, NY, Gary Wilson is an archetypal figure in the "outsider music" movement with other artists like The Shaggs and Jandek as its most notable members. Gary Wilson first came onto the scene in 1977 with "You Think You Really Know Me," which he recorded alone in his parents' basement. Using synthesizers and spinning disturbing tales of obsession with different women, Wilson's record had no effect on the mainstream but its cold detachment and electro-funk aesthetic was a hit with the college radio stations.
