Cyantific

Jon and Matt, but mostly known as Cyantific, hail from South West London. They joined Hospital Records in summer 2002, when High Contrast tipped off Colman and Goss about Cyantific's award winning tracks and performance. With a collection of 12"s, remixes and compilation appearances, Cyantific has gathered a substantial underground fanbase. Popular tracks that have helped Cyantific's breakthrough into the drum and bass scene feature the fast soul classic with Diane Charlemagne, Don't Follow, and the hard hitting Output.

Artist Type:

Optiv

Edd Holmes, better known in the Drum & Bass scene as Optiv, first started his music career in the early 90s working at Dance 2, his local record shop in Guildford. At about the same time he was learning his production skills at SAE in London and also found time to hold a weekend job of assistant engineer at Ministry of Sound nightclub. Having completed his studies, he became a main player for the Drum & Bass outfit Pressure Rise.

Artist Type:

Dub-One

Dub-One, otherwise known as Olly Harmer, is unleashing some serious breakbeat pressure for reputable imprints like Scientific Wax and Renegade Recordings. A steadfast ally of Breakage and Equinox, Dub-One has asserted himself as a credible force in the dubwize drumfunk community. "Cry of War" digs back a little deeper for that extra edge - delivering a nasty, caustic affair of timestretched amens, NWA samples and razor sharp reece basslines.

Artist Type:

Spor

1) Twenty three year old Jon, known as ‘Spor’, has quickly risen to the forefront edge of dark Drum & Bass production. The England native got the name Spor from a combination of one of the first folders of samples he obtained, entitled 'Spore Tactics', and a favorite piece of artwork by a friend. Graffiti outlining eventually meant he would drop the 'e' to leave a more balanced arrangement. After a school friend introduced Spor (Jon) to the world of Drum and Bass he began experimenting with software to create his own music.

Artist Type:

Paul Cooper

Co-runs Project Squared. Co-runs Project Mooncircle. Has made and released music as Mr Cooper (instrumental hip hop, production for rappers). I started this label as my music taste is branching out from hip hop and electronic “listening” music and is becoming more focused on music to dance to, primarily dubstep and techno and the places inbetween these two genres. I found two artists who deserved to be released on vinyl and decided to make a label for them and hopefully others to follow… Maybe even for my own productions in the realm of techno and dubstep eventually...

Artist Type:

Silent Witness

There are multiple groups using this name: 1.A devoted follower of techno-influenced drum & bass, Silent Witness adds a new edge & attitude, combining elements of the deep & uplifting within his tear-out dance floor productions. First surfacing as Brainiac on breakbeat label Stratosphere Recordings, his powerful sound soon caught the attentions of many including The Plump DJs who included 'Neuro' (2001), his acid-tinged debut on their Urban Underground (INCredible) mix and Sony who licensed the track for the soundtrack to the video game Wipeout Fusion (Playstation 2).
