Kiuas

KIUAS was formed in the year 2000, these Finnish hybrid metallers mix clean vocals with death metal, sprinkled with an amount of heroic power on top. Kiuas’s self-financed pre-Spinefarm releases "The Discipline of Steel" 2002 and "Born Under the Northern Lights" 2003 got rave reviews upon their release, and with those releases’ success the band was briefly signed onto the now defunct Rage of Achilles (UK).

Downfall was a and band from the Bay Area formed by Tim Armstrong, Matt Freeman, Dave Mello, Pat Mello, and Jason Hammon following the break-up of Operation Ivy in 1989 and pre-dating Armstrong's and Freeman's wider recognition in Rancid. Brother Firetribe

Brother Firetribe is an Album Oriented Rock (AOR) band formed in 2002 in Finland. They describe their music as easy going rock. The band was originally called False Metal, but they changed their name to Brother Firetribe; however, the album is called ‘False Metal’. They take their name from an in-joke as a perfect description for their music is ‘tennis heavy’ and the name of a well known Finnish tennis player Veli Paloheimo translates into English as ‘Brother Firetribe’. The album title ‘False Metal’ comes from a slogan coined by heavy metal group Manowar, ‘Death to False Metal’.

Omnium Gatherum is a Finnish melodic death metal band of many directions and styles, some of them clearly visible while others more unseen. Namely working and keeping it all together under the monicker of melodic life-and-death metal, bastardized by various influences from a whole lot of genres and sub-genres (thrash, black, power, heavy, punk, progressive...), with a lyrical concept not very often seen in the world of metal - that is, academically twisted old school tell-a-tale folk singer attitude with a small amount of mystic poetry hidden somewhere between the lines.

Poisonblack

Poisonblack is the new band of ex Sentenced singer Ville Laihiala. It started out as a side project as Ville wanted to play guitar so he decided to create his own band and project. The debut album released in 2003 under the label "Century Media" was called "Escapexstacy" and the Cover & booklet art was released by Vesa Ranta (Sentenced's ex-drummer). This album followed more or less the themes and the musical direction of Sentenced.

CMX

CMX (short for Cloaca Maxima) is a Finnish group consisting of A.W. Yrjänä (vocals, bass), Janne Halmkrona (guitar) and Timo Rasio (guitar). Starting as an English language band, CMX eventually moved to a bit more conventional style of rock, even though their music could be described as somewhat experimental (at least when compared to the other Finnish mainstream rock groups). Known for Yrjänä's folklore-esque lyrics, riped with references to religion, mythology...

There are at least seven bands with this name, although it's likely that more exist. The first is a metal band, formed in 2000 by the vocalist Bernd Eitel in the German town of Moenchengladbach. After undergoing a few lineup changes over the years the band is now: Bernd, Martyn, Heiner, Karsten and David. NO have gigged extensively in Germany and also played shows in Switzerland and Holland. In March 2006 NO released their demo CD "...is still the best answer to almost every question" and played a release show in their hometown.
