Stone

Two artists go by the name of Stone (some others go by the name The Stone): 1. Stone was a thrash metal band that formed in Kerava, Finland in the mid-1980s. It released four albums during the late 1980s and early 1990s, before disbanding in 1991 to pursue different musical directions. Stone reunited to play a final set of concerts in 2000, and then again in Sauna Open Air 2008 and Jurassic Rock 2008.

Out of Bounds

The band was originally formed in 1999. The first recording was a demo from summer of 2000 and it had 4 songs in it. The second was EP-Step Correct which was recorded in a local studio called Livingroom after Out Of Bounds had won a major music competition in their home town ‘’Tku Bandstand 2002’’. The third recording session, Reflections, was finished in 2004. Soon after that, the problems started and things got out of hands... ...At the end of May 2006, Out Of Bounds went back to studio. At this point there had already been a change in their line-up.

Charon

There are at least four artists with this name: 1) A Finnish Gothic Metal band.
2) Ambient artist from Czech Republic.
3) An '80s metal band from Germany.
4) A German black/thrash metal band 1) Charon was founded in 1992 by Antti Karihtala, Teemu Hautamäki, Pasi Sipilä, and Jasse Hast and was originally a brutal death metal act. After releasing three promo albums and two demos, the band signed a record deal with Emanzipation Productions. Through Emanzipation, Charon released their first two full-length albums Sorrowburn and Tearstained in 1998 and 2000 respectively.

Rampart

Rampart is a Bulgarian heavy metal band. The guitar player Yavor Kamenov and the drummer Bobby Glavev decided to found it in 2002. The real foundation of the band came later. Yavor Kamenov created the music and the arrangement of the songs. The vocalist Maria joined RAMPART in 2006. The bass player Todor wrote some of the first Rampart's texts. The other ones are written by the singer Maria. The bass player Todor and the guitar player Stoycho left the band in 2006 because of different personal reasons.

Tarot

Tarot is a heavy metal band from Kuopio, formed in 1985. While having enjoyed a broad underground popularity in Finland, the band has never been very famous elsewhere until gaining new success in the recent years when their singer Marco Hietala joined Nightwish in 2002. Tarot was originally formed by the Hietala brothers in the early 80's. Back then the band’s name was “Purgatory”. As Purgatory reached the point when they got the record deal, the label wanted them to change their name. Since then the band has been known as Tarot.

Sentenced

Sentenced was a Finnish band, formed in 1989 and disbanded in 2005. Sentenced was originally formed in 1989 in the town of Muhos, Finland as a band. The band produced their first album "Shadows Of The Past" in 1991 with singer/guitarist Miika Tenkula. The next two albums "North From Here" and "Amok" and the following EP "Love & Death" had bassist Taneli Jarva as singer, but in 1995 Taneli decided to take a few years off to rest before starting a new band, The Black League. Sentenced recruited Ville Laihiala in 1996 and put out the album "Down".

Prestige

There are at least four artists going by the name "Prestige". 1)Barbershop quartet hailing from Toledo, OH. These guys sure have SPUNK. 2)Formed in 1987, PRESTIGE was one of the leading Speed / Thrash metal bands in Finland and one of the first to get signed by a major label. They released three full lenghts: "Attack Against Gnomes" in 1989, "Selling The Salvation" in 1990 and "Parasites In Paradise" 1992.

------- Energetic Rockband from Kemi, Finland. Formed back in 2001. Band started from an idea between couple of friends thinking it would be cool to play some Guns n' Roses covers. Even though Gn'R still remains one of the biggest influences for them, pretty soon it became obvious that playing covers was not the thing for them. Band consists of six different kind of musicians who have gathered their influences from all kinds of music like classical, blues&jazz, funk, hard rock, punk, progressive rock, pop, progressive metal, death metal etc.

1. Oz is a Finnish band in the 80's. They're not very well known these days but they were among the first and most succesful bands and did some solid groundwork for the Finnish metal scene that blooms today. The band retired after releasing the "Roll the Dice" album, but reunited, located in Sweden, in February 2010. The band has, until this day, released 5 studio albums, 1 EP, Two singles and has appeared on "Scandinavian Metal Attack" splits 1 & 2.
