Excepter is an improvised-electronic performance group devoted to the destruction of boundaries between the psychic friends network and reality television. They formed in Brooklyn, New York in 2002.

According to many, Richard Rijnvos is one of the leading composers in the Netherlands of the "post-Andriessen" generation. Born in 1964, he studied composition with Jan van Vlijmen and Brian Ferneyhough at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague, and followed a postgraduate at the Musikhochschule in Freiburg (Germany). In the period 1986-92 he came in touch with the American composers Morton Feldman and John Cage, who caused crucial changes in his development.
Glenn Branca (born October 6, 1948 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania) is an avant-garde composer and guitarist. Branca studied theater at Emerson College in Boston in the early 1970s. While there, he began experimenting with sound as the founder of an experimental theater group called Bastard Theater. He moved to New York in 1976. His first encounter with the NYC music scene was with the N.DoDo Band whom he observed many times at their rehearsal space- Phil Demise's Gegenschein Vaudeville Placenter. American guitarist Eric Arn and his Primordial Undermind have mined the deepest regions of avant-rock for two decades, producing everything from distorted psychedelic freakouts, through free instrumental music, to pure drones and abstraction. Since moving from Austin, Texas to Vienna, Austria in 2005, Eric frequently performs solo, in duos with Cam Deas, Stefan Kushima (Cruise Family), and Wouter Jaspers (Franz Fyodor), as well as in Tempel Solaire, the Vienna Improvisers Orchestra, and Marco Eneidi's NENUVI Orchestra.
Horacio Pollard was born Ibiza in the summer of 1981, he moved to the UK when he was 5 years old, went to collage 2001 and it was here that he met Richard Harrison (aka Badboy, Rupert murder, Animal fact) & started to experiment with noise with their project Doggs, which scattered many seeds of various forms but mainly delved into the brutality of cosmic noise/ pulsating soundscapes by using fm synthesis and feedback systems. Horacio Pollard has made many releases all of which vary greatly ie. drum machine industrial kinda stuff to more avant noise freak out jobbies.
Gail Priest is a Sydney-based sound artist, writer and curator. She is interested in releasing the hidden melodies and broken beats found in raw sonic material. She manipulates field recordings, random instruments and the tortured voice to create works that explore the fine line between pleasure and pain. Her atmospheric adventures incorporate dirty machinic rhythms and bass-heavy pulsations contrasted with glassy cascades and occasional sweet slippery vocals.
Blank Realm is a rock band out of Brisbane. They “create a levitating atmosphere built on improvisations that focus sharp into excellent, tuneful songs (Brian Turner – WFMU)”. The band is composed of 3 siblings and a spiritual brother who share a love fine dining, and even finer selections from their well-stocked humidor.
