Mary Anne Hobbs

Mary Anne Hobbs (born May 15th, 1964 in Preston, England) is an English DJ and music journalist from Garstang, Lancashire. In the 1980s, at the age of 19, she worked as a journalist for Sounds Magazine. She later went to work for the NME, before going on to help found Loaded Magazine. She got her break in radio at BBC GLR, working alongside Mark Lamarr. She then worked at XFM before going to BBC Radio 1. She also presented the World Superbikes series 2005 for British Eurosport.

Once Upon Another Time there was a home made radio show that broadcast from the Planet's Time zone... "Rocklands even has its own semi-official podcasting radio station, Earwax, which performs all the rabble-rousing, word-spreading, tune-disseminating duties you'd have wanted from pirate radio once upon a time". Solid Steel

SOLID STEEL - THE BROADEST BEATS - COLDCUT & FRIENDS BROADCASTING LIVE Coldcut first started Solid Steel back in 1988 on the London pirate station Kiss FM. Jonathan More had been involved with the station since it's inception in 1985 hosting the Meltdown parties. Matt Black joined in early 1987 with his Mixmaster Dance Party. As Coldcut, they joined forces to present the fledgling Solid Steel. It soon became a regular event as listeners tuned in religiously to tape their weekly fix of audio madness.
