Eurovision Song Contest

Bucks Fizz

On the 4th April 1981, history was to be made as four relatively unknown singers Mike Nolan, Cheryl Baker, Bobby G and Jay Aston, collectively known as Bucks Fizz, represented the UK at that years Eurovision Song Contest.
Bucks Fizz performed the timeless classic tune "Making Your Mind Up", together with the now famous skirt ripping dance routine. This was one of the most up tempo songs of the evening and with only two rounds of voting to go, it was a thre way tie between Germany the UK and Switzerland.

Motiv8

Steve Rodway AKA Motiv8 created some excellent remixes that set commercial clubs on fire, all artists covered. Very poppy & predictable but always uplifting in many ways. Rodway also produced for a number of high profile pop artists. A contractual dispute with one - Eurovision starlet and massive gay icon Gina G - led to that singer being unable to record, after which she struggled to regain the profile she has achieved through her work on the album 'Fresh'.
