Mika

There are various acts with the name of Mika: 1) Mika (born Michael Holbrook Penniman in 1983) is a Beirut-born, Paris and London-raised, London-based singer who has a contract with Island Records and used to attend Westminster School. He first appeared on BBC Radio 1 in September 2006. He has a background in classical songwriting. His long awaited first album Life In Cartoon Motion was commercially released on 5th February 2007.

My Life Story

My Life Story were a 1990s pop group regarded as part of the britpop movement. Fronted by singer/songwriter Jake Shillingford, the group was formed in London c.1991 and inherited the name from an earlier group in which Shillingford had appeared. A cross between a pop group and a chamber orchestra, the band's sound was heavily oriented toward orchestral instruments. At the time of their debut single, Girl A, Girl B, Boy C (1994), the group had a regular line-up of twelve members.

Dublin 3-piece, Hal, formed in 2003 and were signed by Jeff Travis to Rough Trade Records in 2004. Their eponymous debut album was produced by Tears for Fears’ Ian Stanley, and released to critical acclaim in 2005, producing two UK and Irish top 40 chart hits.

Miles Hunt

Miles Hunt is the singer of highly successful 90s indie band The Wonder Stuff, and also briefly of Vent 414. His solo career began in 1999 and he has released three "proper" albums - "Hairy On The Inside" (2000), "The Miles Hunt Club" (2002, Under The artist name The Miles Hunt Club) and "Not An Exit" (2007), as well as various live albums. The latter was recorded with violinist Erika Nockalls, recent recruit to The Wonder Stuff, who seems likely to be heavily involved with future Miles Hunt output.

Martin Grech (pronounced ‘Greck’) is a Maltese-English singer, songwriter and musician from Aylesbury, Buckinghamshire, born in 1983. He is known for his dark and powerful music, remarkable voice, and frequent subversion of style and genre. He first achieved serious critical acclaim after his haunting falsetto track Open Heart Zoo (written when he was 19 years old) was featured on a Lexus car advert on UK television in 2002.
