Tanghetto

Tanghetto is a Buenos Aires-based band that focuses its material in the combination of Argentine tango with electronic music, jazz and other musical genres. The “Tanghetto sound” is rather unique; it's a fusion of diverse sources of inspiration, both contemporary and traditional, that converge in Buenos Aires with the bandoneon (the nostalgic and characteristic instrument of the tango). Bandoneon takes the singer's role and is surrounded by diverse acoustic instruments and a sonic wall of synths and samplers.

Many of these are collected on the double album The K&D Sessions.

Artist Type:

Mark Edwards

The story behind Mark Edwards' exhilaratingly beautiful debut album, Balance, is as unusual as the record itself. Ten instrumental pieces, lovingly assembled in an almost beat-free style which aligns glassy guitar figures with minimalist keyboard elegance, Balance is a record born out of a private passion.
After a lifetime spent immersed in music, as a journalist, composer and multi instrumentalist, Edwards had pretty much decided against going public with his tunes.

Artist Type:

Brujo's Bowl

The project, 'Brujo's Bowl'. Is the alias of Saxon Higgs. A young talented musician and producer from mid Wales (UK). Saxon started out by playing about with various instruments when he was a teenager, playing in bands and organising jam sessions in the depths of the wild welsh countryside.
On the verge of leaving secondary school, Saxon and a few of his friends became heavily interested in electronic music. This was when dubstep had just hit the dancefloors, and still had it's unique non-commercial sound. Producers such as 2562 had a large impact on Saxon's ears.
