Kid Cudi, whose birth name is Scott Mescudi, is a Hip-hop/Electronica artist from Cleveland, Ohio. His musical career and style is centered around one dream, to "Be on the moon". His first album, a single called "Day N' Night" was released on iTunes on February 5th, 2008. Currently "Day N' Night" holds the #2 spot in the UK. Through his premier on iTunes and through word of mouth, his success continues. His debut album will be released shortly, while a mixtape has been released to satisfy the curiosity and thirst of his listeners for more Kid Cudi.

Chance The Rapper is an 20 year old MC from Chicago. Chance first made some noise on the Chicago hip-hop blog Fake Shore Drive with his video for Nostalgia in early 2011. Subtle is a music group consisting of artists, producers, rappers, instrumentalists Adam 'Doseone' Drucker, Jeff 'Jel' Logan, Dax Pierson, Marty Dowers, Jordan Dalrymple and Alexander Kort. Although both Adam and Jeff are founding and continuing members of the Anticon music collective, Subtle is not on the Anticon roster. Subtle started as an Oakland, California based band in 2001. Lyrics Born (a.k.a. Asia Born) is Tom Shimura (b. 1972), originally from Berkeley, California, though through his childhood he lived in Tokyo, Japan, and Salt Lake City, Utah. He began his hip hop career while at college at UC Davis, where he was a DJ at the college station KDVS. He is a founding member of the group of artists known as Quannum Projects. He is also one half of the group Latyrx with fellow MC Lateef The Truth Speaker.

Jonathan Park (born February 18, 1986), better known by his stage name Dumbfoundead, is a Korean American battle rapper originating from the Los Angeles Underground's Project Blowed. He is well known for his affiliation with the West Coast division of Grindtime and his participation in Jumpoff's 2007 World Rap Championships; both of which have given rise to his status as a strong web presence. He recently finished a stint as the opening act for Epik High's Map the Soul tour. Dumbfoundead is a member of the hip hop trio Thirsty Fish and the Los Angeles battle crew the Swim Team.

Jungle Brothers

The Jungle Brothers are an American hip hop group who pioneered the fusion of jazz and hip-hop. They began performing in the mid-1980s and released their first album, Straight Out the Jungle, in 1988 (see 1988 in music). With Afrocentric lyrics and innovative beats, the Jungle Brothers were critically acclaimed and soon joined the influential Native Tongues Posse.
