Ziriguidum

For the last three years, Ziriguidum has brought together percussionists from the West of England and South Wales to play the modern Brazilian carnival music developed by Rio De Janeiro group Monobloco. Ziriguidum's musical director, John Paul Courtney, has performed in the UK & Brazil with Monobloco, who have built a reputation as a popular live act and recording group as well as being one of the biggest attractions of the Rio carnaval.

Teho Teardo & Blixa Bargeld

This is a quite unique collaboration, an unexpected one between the italian composer Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld, leader of Einstürzende Neubauten and former Bad Seeds. They first met during the realization of Ingiuria, a theatre pièce and right after that they collaborated on a song for a soundtrack, "A Quite Life". That song started the whole process of writing and producing an album together where songs and more experimental pieces could find a common ground.

Avner Dorman

Israeli-American composer Avner Dorman has quickly risen to become one of Israel’s most successful and renowned composers. At the age of 25, he became the youngest composer to win Israel’s prestigious Prime Minister’s Award. In 2001, Dorman received the ACUM prize from the Israeli performing rights society for his Ellef Symphony. Ma’ariv, the second largest newspaper in Israel, named Dorman “Composer of the Year” for 2002, and the performance of his song cycle Boaz received the Israeli Cultural Ministry Prize for best performance of Israeli music the same year.

Blue devils

The Blue Devils Drum and Bugle Corps is a Division I drum and bugle corps based in Concord, California and founded in 1970, and is a member corps of Drum Corps International. The Blue Devils (sometimes just "the Devils", "Devs" or "BD") are the most successful corps of the DCI era, with a total of thirteen world champion titles to their name over the four decades of DCI's existence. At their first DCI finals appearance in 1973, the Blue Devils placed twenty fourth, advancing the next year to ninth and then to third in 1975.
