Amen Dunes

Amen Dunes, the solo project of Damon McMahon, began with recordings made in the fall of 2006 in upstate New York. Those tapes were initially put on the shelf as personal recordings he never intended for release, and the following summer, McMahon moved to China and all but stopped making music. He would live in Beijing for the next few years, writing and recording only occasionally. With the release of DIA on Locust Music in 2009, however, he decided to move back to the States and form a band around Amen Dunes.

Plastiscines

Plastiscines are a female rock band from Saint-Cyr-l'École, France. Katty Besnard, Marine Neuilly and Zazie Tavitian met each other in Mansart High School where they bonded over their love of rock 'n' roll music. After they went to see several gigs together, they decided to form a band. In 2004, they met Louise Basilien at a Libertines gig, and she then became the bassist. Et voila, the band was complete : Katty (singer & guitar), Marine (guitar), Louise (bass) and Zazie (drums).

Band members were David Cowley Lead guitar Vocals, Paul Willington Rhythm guitar vocals, Gary Hedges Bass/Lead Vocal and Les Fortnam on Drums Three of the Band members were pupils at Alderlea School in the shard end district of Birmingham Also attending the same school but older than the boys was Jeff Lynne of ELO fame, Les Fortnam was a pupil at Alston School Bordesley Green Birmingham.

Gaunt

There are at least two artists by the name of Gaunt: 1) Gaunt was a garage punk band formed in Columbus, Ohio, in 1991. The original lineup formed from the ashes of the short-lived and punkadelic Black Juju, and consisted of guitarist/vocalist/songwriter Jerry Wick, bassist Eric Barth (who had also been in Two Hour Trip with the Spurgeon brothers, who would soon form Greenhorn) and drummer Jeff Regensburger (later of The Patsys).
