The Traps

Birmingham based band, The Traps were born on 1st January 2008. The band spent much of the year writing, recording and playing live, gaining fans from their performances and from sending out free mp3s to those who messaged them directly on myspace. The band founded the record label - Speech Fewapy Records to enable the release of their own EPs. 2009 saw the release of three EPs, ‘Luna’, ‘Elk’ and The Honey Drip’. All were released in download only formats and were all made available for free. The three EPs were downloaded a combined total of over 1,500 times.

Neils Children

NEiLS CHiLDREN are an English three-piece garage punk outfit who formed in 1999 at Harlow College in Essex, where members John Linger (guitar/vocals), Brandon Jacobs (drums) and Tom Hawkins (bass/vocals) were then studying. The band's name came from Linger's obsession with 1960s proto-punk band John's Children; 'Neil' was the nickname of bassist Hawkins. Primarily playing freakbeat-inspired music, the band performed several gigs on the London Mod scene as well as performing in the Harlow Square Rock Contest.

Lime Spiders

The Lime Spiders are an Australian band which play a hybrid of garage and psychedelic rock. Lead Singer Mick Blood formed the band in the early '80s with guitarist Gerard Corben, bassist Tony Bambach and drummer Ricky Lawson. The Spiders released their monumental single 'Slave Girl', on the Citadel label, in 1983. In the years to follow, the Spiders issued one amazing single after another: 25th Hour, Out of Control, Weirdo Libido, My Favourite Room, and Volatile. Slave Girl would go on to be one of the best selling independent singles of the 1980s.

Johnny and the Deathrays

Johnny and the Deathrays is an punk band, formed in South London, England (I guess) in August 2010, consisting of Fletch (guitar, vocals), Scruff (drums, vocals), and Mat of Cold Megan fame (bass, vocals). They released their E.P. Antidote to Slow Pain in October 2010.

The Parkinsons

There are 3 bands named Parkinsons. 1.Raised in Portugal, the band released three LPs there as Tédio Boys between 1994 and 1998. They quickly earned their reputations as the nation's Kings of Chaos, attracting notoriety for their impromptu gigs on top of buildings in their city centre. It was this word of mouth that got them an invite to play at Joey Ramone's birthday party in New York's Continental in 1997, an incredible honour for a little known act, and they never looked back - touring Portugal with the likes of The Fall and John Spencer in 1997/98.

The Quotes

The Quotes from Rotterdam were founded in January 2006 and recorded a 7" called 'Mass Produced' in February of that same year, which was released by the Rotterdam based label Stardumb Records (Groovie Ghoulies, The Madd, The Apers, Nathaniel Mayer, Stilettos, Queers). Besides singer and guitarist Marcel Haug, the band features Jerry Hormone who played in The Ragin' Hormones and The Apers, Joe Caine who was also in The Ragin' Hormones and in Wiseguy and Marcel Alexander Wiebenga I who played in Oil and De Vogels and is still raising hell in Das Oath.
