The Pindrop Band

Drawing on a range of folk, jazz and world musics, the Pindrop Band are a group of musicans who love music and like to perform without the aid of huge amplification systems. The emphasis in on delicate arrangements and harmonies and purity of sound. Much of their material is self-penned (with the odd quirky cover), and features a vast array of instruments including guitars, ukulele, banjo, mandolin, harp, fiddle, accordion, charango, whistles, harmonium, autoharp, double bass and percussion.

Junior Murvin

Junior Murvin (born Murvin Smith Jr. in Port Antonio, circa 1949) is a Jamaican reggae artist. He is best known for the classic single "Police and Thieves", produced by Lee "Scratch" Perry in 1976. Murvin's soaring voice and the infectious rhythm made "Police and Thieves" into an international hit during the summer of 1976. The song was so influential that it was recorded by the punk rock pioneers The Clash on their debut album the following year.

Bear Driver

Bear Driver are Oli and Harry and Cassie and Joe. From different corners of England, they all found themselves in Leeds at some point last year - and that's where the magic happened. They write songs compulsively and they travel the world in a Volkswagon van. Their debut EP 'Paws and Claws' was released on May 23rd 2009. On 1st June it was announced that they had won a slot to play End of the Road festival.

Afternaut

Afternaut is the latest project from the Liverpool based musician, Adam Rowley. For the past decade Adam has been involved with various music projects, initially starting off playing guitar in bands. But it wasn’t until 2004, while studying Film and TV at university, where he was introduced to sound manipulation using computers with effects and synthesis. This interest led to working on sound for film projects at university. Not only recording sound but also creating soundtracks. Since 2006, Adam has also been a sound designer/audio producer for the games industry.

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire!

Fire! Santa Rosa, Fire! are a indie rock group from Adelaide, South Australia. They feature David Williams (vocals/guitar), Sam Stearne (drums), Caitlin Duff (vocals), Nathaniel Morse (guitar), Art Zinoviev (synth) and Josh Flavel (bass). Formed in 2006 into the vapid whirlpool era of fluro dance-punk, the quintet has since been impossible to pin down to any one sound or genre, opting for distinct stylistic strides between releases.

Ben Godwin

Though singer/songwriter Ben Godwin spent the early part of his career playing in hard rock bands in Glasgow, Scotland, he eventually decided that the acoustic anti-folk format was how he wanted to display himself and his craft. In 2002 he released the EP Four Songs, followed by =shinyshiny= in 2004 and Lighter Than the Atom in 2005. That same year, Godwin decided to move to New York City, where, in addition to writing songs, performing, and producing albums for others, he worked at LIFEbeat, a non-profit that promoted HIV/AIDS prevention and awareness through music.

Spheruleus

Spheruleus is British musician and producer Harry Towell, who releases ambient music in the drone, dark ambient, and musique concrete subgenres, under the project names Audio Gourmet, Eyes Flutter Beneath, and now as Spheruleus. He creates ambient textures designed chiefly to be listened to at low volume for quiet contemplation. His first EP was released on Webbed Hand Records; since then he has released three subsequent albums on that netlabel. His first venture away from Webbed Hand was with Phantom Channel.
