Volcanoes

LATE in 2004 four young men of high ambition formed a band called Volcanoes. Founded on acoustic roots the band emerged as an energetic yet soulful Rock and Roll band, diverging into Blues, Rock and Indie. This jigsaw of styles makes Volcanoes one of the most exciting and innovative new bands around. The bands debut recording The Red Door EP received wide acclaim, combined with their outstanding live performances the band has already made an impressive dent in both the Sheffield and Leeds music scene.

Silents

Silents, are an alternative rock band from Sheffield, consisting of Adam Howarth, Ash Romans and John Heyes. They began as The Search Party but after a few months wrote all new material and started gigging under the name Silents. In 2011 the band left the studio after recording their first Demo with Cocean's Ross Hooley, and are currently gigging relentlessly around South Yorkshire and have played with such bands as Little Comets, Mabel Love, Exit Calm and The Violet May amongst others and are due to play at Sheffields Tram Lines festival in July 2011

Pisco Sour Hour

A band dedicated to producing quirky rock and roll. They hail from Sheffield, UK. Pisco Sour Hour are Andy Wood on drums, percussion and vocals, Pete Collins on guitar, bass, vocals and keyboards and Ed Piper on bass, guitar and vocals. In December 2007 the band released some of their music for free on their website. www.piscosourhour.co.uk. In September 2008 they released some more.

Mothership

Three bands share the name Mothership: one in the UK , one in the US. and a new one in Portugal. For the early 90’s metallic hardcore crossover Erie band, see Mother Ship.

The Mothership began its tempestuous journey at low tide on the murky back waters of The Steel City. Cultivating a penchant for the dark, dirty and electronic, as well as a nefarious sense of rhythm and funky guitar-based melodies, the band forge together to produce a melting hot cauldron of sound as diverse as it is audibly pleasing. And they're partial to a nice cup of tea as well!

Somewhere in-between a perfect dream and a murder scene... Backhanded Compliments are an unsigned indie band from Sheffield, England. The band consists of:

Driftrun

Driftrun comprise of four lads in their 20’s from Sheffield. Tony, Rich and Gilly all went to the same school and Tony met Chris at work in the ‘spilt factory’. After 3 years of crafting their sound, Driftrun are one of the most prominent names around on the Sheffield scene now. Never in their history have Driftrun been so confident that their music is heading in the right direction for them. The band somehow have found a way to fuse their passion for quality production, melody and rhythm, and in doing so have broken the mold of a typical local guitar based band.
