The Brownies

There are two bands called The Brownes: 1) A five-piece band from Norwich, England. Myspace "The tag 'pop punk' for one generation at least will always conjure up images of Blink 182 and Sum 41, yet the type of Pop Punk that The Brownies juggle up is far removed from this. It's shouty-faced pop punk that's pocketed Riot Grrrl's bite, and been trapped under an avalanche of glowing pop hooks on the escape.

This Boy Wonders

Chris Athorne, Lee Wilkins, Mark Willis and Nikk Butcher are This Boy Wonders. At the start of 2011 This Boy Wonders have been together for just over 2 years.
Front man Chris Athorne had been writing songs for 2 years when the opportunity came to take his music to the next level with a full band and he hasn't looked back.
Since then, the band has recorded three EPs. The first, released back in 2009 entitled ‘Chasing Rainbows’, was a very different sound from now, with a folk/ acoustic feel that runs through the record.

Shin Jin Rui

Having long ago established themselves as the most compelling fixture of Newcastle’s underground circuit, Shin Jin Rui finally drop ‘Zutiqua’. It’s a move that ought to bring us all one step closer to curing the headcold British garage rawk has been groaning and spluttering through in recent years.
Proof that digging deep will always reward you with a chunk of gold for your shit-covered hands, ‘Zutiqua’ is a rusting, steam-powered automaton of an album...

The All New Adventures of Us

The All New Adventures of Us (Tanaou, to their fans) are the kind of band it is impossible for anyone to hate. After minor changes over the years, the band has settled on its current line-up. The seven Adventurers (Paul Macefield, Phil Spry, Kate Williams, Chris Jones, Jaime C. Macefield, Gary Fleming and Nic Willes) combine eloquently to make musical and poetic harmony through the medium of song. As one member once stated, "No matter how simple or complex, songs are maps to places that people can't physically go, escape plans to take us away from the towns and cities that suffocate us."

Colorama

Colorama are the brainchild of Carwyn Ellis, a Welsh wonder who has performed or collaborated with the likes of Edwyn Collins, Oasis, UNKLE, Shane MacGowan and Pete Molinari to name just a few. The band only started playing together in July '08 and are already definitely one to watch. Colorama's debut album Cookie Zoo has already had a Japan release to giddy critical acclaim, and their newly released first single, 'Sound' is an instant psych pop classic - a perfect introduction into a sonic world you won't wanna leave.
