Alasdair Roberts

Alasdair Roberts is a Scottish folk musician. He released a number of albums under the name Appendix Out, and following the 2001 album The Night is Advancing, under his own name. Roberts was born in Swabia, Germany, to a German mother and Scottish father, though was raised in Kilmahog, a hamlet close to the small town of Callander, near Stirling in central Scotland. where he started playing the guitar and writing music.

Rose Rovine e Amanti is a musical project based in Rome lead by Damiano Mercuri aided by Noemi York Christian Valente and Giuseppe Lorenzoni. The sound has changed through the years from a pure neo-folk to a wider range of sounds. The music is a brilliant mixture of acoustic neofolk-rock with some bitter songwirtin’ tunes. To describe their music we could mention artists like: Sol Invictus, And Also The Trees, David Bowie, Lucio Battisti, Leonard Cohen, Death In June & Current 93 and Jacques Brel style, all reinforced by a Mediterranean taste.

Elephant Micah is music by southern Indiana songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Joseph O'Connell. Recording mostly at home, O’Connell has produced an eclectic body of work since beginning the project in 2000. Elephant Micah’s inconsistently available music has become a cult favorite among some lo-fi/indie and folk rock audiences. O'Connell has released recordings with BlueSanct Records, the experimental-leaning Time-Lag Records, and a number of other very small labels.

Cat Power

Charlyn Marie Marshall, also known as Chan (pronounced "Shawn") Marshall, was born in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S. on 21 January 1972. After dropping out of high school, she started performing under the name Cat Power, while in Atlanta, backed by musicians Glen Thrasher, Mark Moore, and others. She soon moved to New York City, United States in 1992, then later opening for Liz Phair in 1994, she met Steve Shelley of Sonic Youth and Tim Foljahn of Two Dollar Guitar, who encouraged her to record, and played on her first two albums, 1995's Dear Sir and 1996's Myra Lee.

Matteah Baim

Matteah Baim is a folk musician from New York, United States. She began writing music with Sierra Casady in 2005 for Metallic Falcons. After the band disbanded, she continued with a solo career in 2006, releasing her first solo album Death of the Sun in 2007. Matteah's music is described as disparate, haunted folk that roll over your senses like desert clouds. With the help of a few friends Jana Hunter, Devendra Banhart, and Rob Doran she has taken her palate of lonesome inky textures and blown it dry with a wanderer's spirit.

Having played in various guitar bands over the years, Russell Harris and David Woods were struggling to find the over-saturated local rock scene inspiring. Whilst sharing a flat together mid 2006 they discovered a solution to their musical frustrations: Band together and turn to a mutual love of early 80's electronica! Using the oldest analogue equipment they could lay their hands on Russ and David began writing their first material.

The band is named after Califone International, a long-standing manufacturer of audio equipment commonly found in schools, libraries and businesses. Califone is the musical project of former Red Red Meat frontman Tim Rutili. Its regular and rotating contributors include many former members of Red Red Meat and some members of other Chicago bands, such as Tortoise.
