Simple Minds

Formed in 1977 by Jim Kerr and Charlie Burchill, Simple Minds (hailing from Glasgow, Scotland) were previously known as Johnny And The Self Abusers. Under that name they released one single (Saints And Sinners) and played various live shows between February and November 1977 before they changed their name to Simple Minds. Simple Minds initially signed to Arista who recorded and released their first three albums.

Tim Ayre and Jean Capotorto are Tim & Jean, an up-and-coming electropop indie duo from Perth, Western Australia. The band began by recording demo tapes in Capotorto's bedroom studio in Mandurah. After posting their music on MySpace the band entered Triple J's Unearthed High School competition for unsigned bands, which they made the finals with their track "Come Around". Tim & Jean have performed at many major festivals including Parklife, Good Vibrations, Southbound, Big Day Out, Splendour in the Grass and Falls Festival.

T'Pau

T'Pau was a late-1980s rock group led by singer Carol Decker. They had a string of Top 40 hits in the UK, and several hits in the United States and Europe. T'Pau formed in 1986. The members originated from the towns of Shrewsbury and Wellington in central England and took their name from a Vulcan high priestess in the classic Star Trek episode Amok Time. Their debut single and first hit was the 1987 release Heart and Soul. Initially a flop in the UK, it first became a hit in the U.S. Billboard charts, reaching #4, a feat it repeated in the UK Singles Chart some months later.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark (often abbreviated to OMD) are a synthpop group whose founding members are originally from the Wirral Peninsula, England. OMD record for Virgin Records (originally for Virgin's DinDisc subsidiary). The group was founded by Andy McCluskey and Paul Humphreys, and they formed the core of the outfit until 1989, when the group split. McCluskey then retained the name and continued to record and tour as OMD with a new line-up.
