They were also honored to have old school great Laurel Aitken on stage with them earlier in their career and played with Toots and the Maytals at the Canadian National Exhibition.

Smoke Like A Fish

With an up tempo two-toned Ska-popunkish attack, Smoke like a Fish from Mid Wales relentlessly pump the off beat with groove and aggression, behind brass splattered riffs, catchy choruses and social comment. After 2 EPs on our own Kippertronix label and a few appearances on various compilations, we sign to `Do the Dog` and release the self-titled debut album in April 2002. That is then followed by the `Survival of the Hipest` album February 2004. And last year, April 2005 an early years, demos, re-mixes and rarities album `Heres one we made earlier` was released.

Les Skalopes

Born during winter 1997, Les Skalopes, a band from Bures sur Yvette (Paris suburbs) strides fervently over concert halls, festivals and ballrooms to make people know their music : ska music mixed with a punkrock spirit, and powered by a boosting rhythm section, a generous brass section and the energetic voice of their female singer, mocking the shortcoming of modern societies. The 10 musicians share their passion of music through more than 150 concerts, sharing the stage with The Toasters, The Slackers...

Artist Type:

Invaders

There are two bands known as Invaders: 1. The new band led by Joe Meredith, formerly of the Beatles-esque Merediths, is surprising not just because of Meredith’s more poppy pedigree, but also because there are few bands left making sounds like this. The Invaders live near rock music but probably won’t be understood by the AC/DC fan next door. Fans of the Sun City Girls and early Butthole Surfers will be pleased, however, to find a new psychedelic, grainy mindblast of a band.
