Dean & Britta
Dean & Britta is a musical duo consisting of Dean Wareham and Britta Phillips, both former members of Luna. Wareham had formed Luna in 1992 after leaving his first band, Galaxie 500. Phillips joined Luna in 2000, replacing bassist Justin Harwood. Their first album started out as a Wareham solo project, but when he heard Phillips' demos, he asked her to join him. After Luna broke up in 2005, Dean & Britta spent the next year working on film scores (most notably Noah Baumbach's movie, The Squid and the Whale), and promoting the documentary film of Luna's farewell tour Tell Me Do You Miss Me.

Heidi Elva
Heidi Elva grew up in a small town in New Zealand. Next to a lake, under mountains and not too far from the sea. Her Father was a postman and a preacher, her Mother a housewife. Growing up there, Heidi felt a deep sense of isolation. New Zealand is a long way from anywhere. Later, Heidi moved to Australia and has lived there for a while now. Heidi plays the harp. Not in a conventional way. She layers loops and using the harp as her drum, she creates beats.

Eight and a Half
Justin Peroff of Broken Social Scene + Dave Hamelin and Liam O'Neil of The Stills = Eight and a Half. But while the math is simple, the story behind it is not so. When Broken Social Scene first emerged out of Toronto 10 years ago, a great deal of the band’s success was attributed to the fact that most of its individual members had ties to other bands, or boasted established solo careers. Peroff - the band’s drummer since 2000 - was not without extracurricular pursuits of his own (acting, DJing, party promotion), but had never released music outside of the BSS banner.
